Keep it, but make it harder, because a rocket was easy to take out a tank and anything else.

Its imposible to hit vehicles without it.

Whatever you guys say, I think it should stay. But the one thing I don't get, is that now we have jets that can track when missiles are locked on to them, but in 500 years in the future that technology just dissappears?!?! I think that if the lock on stays, there should be radar in vehicles tracking it.

For land vehicles, you hear a rocket coming, you know you R screwed. W/ the banshee however, the targeting is easier 2 dodge

Personally, I've felt that the auto-tracking feature really reduced the amount of fun that could be had in some of the vehicle-oriented maps such as Coagulation, etc. Basically, if there's a rocket on the map, anyone who is in a vehicle is sitting in a deathbox. I would love to see vehicles somehow (I have no idea how this would happen) be more susceptible to small fire (why are Ghosts SO hard to kill without rockets) yet able to evade a rocket more easily.

Dude, Ghost are VERY vaulnerable to small arms fire. I dont need a rocket at all to take one down, nobody does. Theres a little round thing on the left side of the ghost, if you shoot it a few times the entire ghost will explode and injure the driver. It takes 1 sniper shot, and about 2 or 3 BR/CARBINE shots. So if you noobs would get a little skill, you wont need to be so dependend on the rocket launcher.

I say keep it the way it is except maybe a slight warnign like in battelfeild when a rockets locked on. Also a slightly longer lock on. Also its post to be in the future so im pretty sure there not going to have rockets with out some kind of trcking system thats stuped thats almost like useing a sword agianst a guy with a shot gun technology wise lol. Also most people can avoid them if they see them the rockets cant take tight turns so if you see it and you got a ghost or warthog and now how to use the parking breack your set generly. Also the banshes if the pilots good and sees it he cna barrel role away from every 1 of them. and the tanks can take a beating aswell usally by the first rocket off they have spotted you plus imagine tyring to kill the scorpian tank with a track less rocket its not like the old days no more 2 -3 rockets depending hwere you hit him the bloody machine gun and main gun will utterly kill you if you get any where in sit so your only choice is staying far back alltohught the laser paint idea would be pretty cool.

I think that if you lock a rocket it should travel slower as oppose to non-locked rockets that will travel faster but don't have a good chance of hitting the target.

Man, keep the lock-on rocket, FTW! :)

I never had so much fun as when I played 'clay pigeon' with the rocket and a banshee :) The moves you can do to evade the lock are sick.

Get a mate and give it a go. You'll never look back ;)

We've been here since you left.
We left before you came.

Keep it. I especially liked the homing addition in single player. It was way too hard to try to ahoot down Banshees without a homing device.

Wakka Wakka Wump!
No I freaking told you to cut the hose off, if i told to pull it off then i would have said pull it off. Now you broke the AC you dumb ass.
Me to my mother.

wat u r forgetting is that the rocket is intended for war, they want the rocket to be unseen and stealthy as possible. take it from a firers point of veiw,do u want the enemy to know that u just loked the banshee holding the flag

K, think about this, if you keep the auto-lock on, but make it so you have to line up, say a dot or something, with the reticule, by using the right thumbstick...Good idea...I think so!
Even if you had to imput a random button sequence say like Y,A,X... then that would keep around the auto-lock, and make it just a little bit tougher to use that feature...

make it harder to lock, but keep it. I used to hate the fact that it was so hard to hit a moving vehicle (apart from the tank)in halo 1. A skilled driver can shake off a rocket in halo2, but to even it out, you should require a bit more skill to use the lock on.

Honestly...the lock on should stay...but the lock on time should be changed. As opposed to 3 seconds the lock on time for the vehicles should all be 4 or 5 seconds, except for the warthog and shade* which would be 5 or 6.

If I shoot at a ledge instead of a person, the rocket should not follow the person anyway. That should be taken out too.

*I think thats what the name is, but I'm not sure.
