Though the morrow may be barren of promises, nothing shall forstall my return.

So today a gentleman came into the store I work at to buy a new headset. He wanted something cheap that he could talk to friends with. When he picked up the wired afterglow model, I told he I would highly recommend he pick something else due to things I have seen and heard about this particular model's performance. He ended up going with the standard xbox360 black wired headset which was the same price. Was I right to talk him out of the afterglow? The other one may not be special, but it will get the job done at least.

Well, the basic mic does get the job done. That's pretty much what he wanted.

Probably. You were honest and sold him a product to be proud of.

Why is this even a question? You did your job. Simple as that.

You better close this sig when your done.

Well I know afterglow controllers all seem to fail fairly quickly. idk about the headsets but standard xbox headsets aren't the most robust things either. I guess you did ok?

When I returned an afterglow controller to a Gamestop once the manager begged me not to do it as they have to throw it in the dumpster as they can't sell used afterglows.

Well, see from everything I have been told these wired models really gave afterglow a bad name back when they came out. I have heard many people talk down on them because of this, but the new wireless afterglows I have heard almost nothing but great things about them (which I do plan on buying soon).
