Subject: Would you ever consider cosmetic surgery?

If we disagree, it's nothing personal, opinions are opinions.
Antagonizing me to build a false sense of worth is so damn cute.

Brighten your day with science.

Nope, I'm content.

I find that Teh-Ziod is NOT attractive for the reasons
she/he does not correct format sentences, therefore for intelligent matured members of society that may interact with her/him, may find her/him UNattractive for the reason that she/he does not comprehend with their level to successfully have a conversation therefore it will be socially an awkward interaction which may be wanted to be avoided

second i do not find it physically possible for a PERSON to be a ice cream truck.

I'd love to lose that last bit of fat on me.

Yeah sure. What's to lose?

Your pride and reputation?
There's nothing inherently shameful or reputation-ruining about cosmetic procedures. People need to get small ones for health reasons all the time - mole removal, alterations to their eyelids in order to improve their vision, septoplasty to improve breathing or clear up sinusitis, and tons of other things.

Well, I actually do need septoplasty to cure my sinusitis, but it's not really a cosmetic procedure because you can't see the results (assuming nothing goes wrong). :P

I was actually just curious about people's attitudes to cosmetic surgery in general, because a lot of people trash it, but people still get it all the time.

No, because my body is fine the way it is. Those who would say yes are tacitly validating the body fascists and their insane standards of beauty that have lead to serious health problems and even death in those taught by our culture to accept them without questioning.

Don't really see why not, so long as there's no chance of failure.

I was about to ask how the hell a sinal- sinutal- sinusy(?!) err thingy would be cosmetic at all. That sounds like an internal sort of surgery unless you count the scar on your face.

But if a scar equals cosmetic surgery then isn't all surgery "cosmetic"?

I'm probably missing something, but it's 2 in the morning. *shrugs*

It's a rearrangement of the piece of cartilage that keeps your nostrils separate, basically. I don't think you should be able to see any change on the outside, which has naturally not stopped me from worrying incessantly about it. :P

Already had a wickle removed from my nose i guess if my face was cut off in a Saw movie I would undergo plastic surgery but not for straightforward vanity. I am a dude, BTW.

  • 12.03.2012 11:23 AM PDT

Of course not. I don't think it is right to change your body like that and more often than not the surgery ends up making you look worse.

No way.

I would only consider it if I was in a serious accident or was burned or something like that.

For all questions with answers unknown to you, the proper procedure is to assume the answer is peanut butter.

While that may be true, I'm just going to pretend otherwise.

Nope. Truth be told, I've never found any person that looked better after plastic surgery. It just looks so... Square and/or straight. Humans are naturally imperfect. Plastic surgery makes people look especially unnatural. Before anyone asks the inevitable question, yes, I even dislike fake boobs. Bigger is not always better.
