"The hero is the one who kindles a great light in the world, who sets up blazing torches in the dark streets of life for men to see by.
The saint is the man who walks through the dark paths of the world, himself a light."
-Felix Adler

I picked it up for only $10 and have finished the first attack on the bandits. Have to say, so far it seems really boring to me.
Not completely sure why...

Sensitivity is weird (can be changed, thankfully) and the lack of an autosave option is a little annoying after I was blown up as soon as I left our settlement for the first time and had to restart the game.

If you can read this, that means I'm not a Shaolin monk...

yet.

Never paid much attention to it, random people just hyped it for no reason and it turned out being no big deal.

The world is not beautiful: And that, in a way, lends it a sort of beauty.

~Kino's Journey

Gunplay's mildly amusing, graphics are pretty neat as well, everything else is just bland.

I've never actually played it, but recently I also picked up the remastered edition of Doom 3 and I realized I really love the Id style of FPS.

If it's like that, then I'd probably like it. Despite the fact that Id games are mostly corridor shooters.

The Universe demands to be noticed, to be seen, and dutifully noted.

What use all those incredible firework dimensions if no eye fixes and reflects, no brain takes notes, no heart moves with passion at the display?

How

dare you.

Got it for $17. I enjoyed it a little, feels like there could have been more though.

It also feels unfinished. Like, the ending just came out of nowhere... If I got it for $60, I probably would have hated it.

  • 12.03.2012 1:11 AM PDT

Got it as the "free" part of buy one get one free. Still haven't played it.

  • 12.03.2012 1:12 AM PDT

Eh, I would like to like it. But it is not all that special. It seemed over quite quickly and the ending left much to be desired.

I got bored of it at the beginning of the second disk and then ended up trading it in as something that was actually exciting game out.

I had a lot of fun playing RAGE.
Although I did give myself infinite resources.

If you get a chance to talk to K-Mart, tell him Mabian misses him...

He won't remember me, but it's always nice to let a complete stranger on the internet know that you care.

Sir I can't help but get the sense that you don't want to really talk about this, you want to "nail" me.

Worst ending ever.

Worst ending ever.
I agree. Anticlimactic.

mah twitter

I remember being hyped for this game (for some reason) but I didn't end up buying it after all (for some reason).

Yeah I've played and finished it.

It's really boring and the ending is retarded.

  • 12.03.2012 2:55 AM PDT

I want her...

The world seemed way too empty and the ending sucked

Rabid

I havent even bothered playing it. It is hardly what you could call Open World, everything is so constricted. The weapons are odd and the mutants knife thing disintegrates after 3 seconds. There was so much wasted hype.

"the weapons are odd" is a bad excuse, and nobody ever said it wasn't a linear shooter.

Quick as a razor, sharp as a bullet.

Great graphics, well-realised environments. But the controls are clunky and the story is yet another post-apocalyptic snorefest.

  • 12.03.2012 3:51 AM PDT

Remember those times when we all had something better to be doing, but didn't do it? Those were good times. Gooood times

Meh. Its decent, but as soon as it build up any sort of momentum it ends
