This should be enough proof for any naysayer that believe all animals rely solely on instinct. Seriously.

Trolls are insecure about their own pathetic lives that they act cool behind a keyboard.
Go back to being a failure kid.

It's animal instinct to trust it's parents.
Those chaps are his parents.

Not saying I disagree with you, but your argument is about as foolproof as mine.
The photo of the chimps watching their dead friend being taken away is probably a better example of 'animal-emotion'.

I don't think anyone has ever made the claim that animals rely solely on instict. Ever.

That was instinct, not emotion.

So it's "instinct" was to frolick and rejoice with its parents? This would be the default action upon seeing said people, under any circumstance?

Instincts guide all animals. The difference between sentient and non-sentient beings is the ability to reason out our decisions based on what may occur in the future, up to an essentially infinite point in said future, rather than the most immediate effects.

Every time I see that video I always think that the other lions in his pride must be thinking, "What the frak is he doing?"

But yeah, it's a pretty awesome video. I've seen others that are equally as amazing. Like this one. It shows amazing empathy and intelligence from the Gorilla.

This one always gets to me.

We don't even fully understand the rules yet.

So what you are saying is, while an animal is in the presence of its parents, it is rendered completely incapable of doing anything but frolick, as this is the only course of action physically possible for them, as rendered by "instinct".

Animals are living beings. They have emotions, can feel pain. Everything. Anyone who says otherwise is a moron.

Anybody who thinks animals aren't sentient is conventionally moronic, not to mention scientifically illiterate.

Since I love seafood, I'm just going to guess that you don't know how to cook it properly. It shouldn't taste or smell like a toilet.
