I don't have a tendency to read bad books, I also don't have a tendency to read books that don't even interest me. Mainly fantasy books, and since the only fantasy books I know of that are bad (the ones I've already listed) Historical books can be boring, but I haven't ever found one that's bad at it's foundations.

My vote goes for the bible/torah/quran. Out of all the fantasy books I've ever read or ever glimpsed at these are by far the worst as they are utterly boring.

I 'unno, story about birds throwing some hellfire-y stone to people sounds pretty kickass IMO.

Anything from Ayn Rand. I didn't think it was possible to make characters less than one dimension.

MC is a loser who hangs out with a white supremest and his abused girlfriend. Mr. White Supremest guy is also cheating on his girl with the wife of a mechanic. Gatsby was a dude who gave up his values for the pursuit of money to win over racist guy's GF. The overarching plot is that of rich people with too much money that do rich people things.

Yeah that sounded pretty crappy. But then again anything involving 'cheating' is crappy to me.

Yeah I've never heard of those either, have you read ALL of them? even though you thought the author stunk?

  • 12.03.2012 4:14 AM PDT

Quick as a razor, sharp as a bullet.

Opinions because Atlas Shrugged is a towering achievement and Karen Traviss is a fantastic author.

OP, have you ever read anything that wasn't recommended by tweens or school?

yes I've read the bible on my own accord... worst mistake ever...

I've also read Bambi, Bambi's Children, Hero's Song, Fire Arrow, The Hobbit, some book about the plague, multiple fantasies involving the Holoco$t some recommended by my school others on my own accord. Granted some were good, but alot of the ones involving camp life sucked major balls, and these were supposedly written by eye witne$$e$.

Actually come to think of it, I have come across the name of that book while passing the internet. Just the name of it though. I can only guess what the story line pertains to. Care to describe it in detail?

How can it be? I mean I can understand blind fangirls raging over the twilight being listed as one of the worst books ever written. And maybe some fanboys and fangirls of the bible or that stuff. But it's all fantasy anyways so I didn't think there would be much to flame about.

Just because you hate it doesn't mean it isn't great.

  • 12.03.2012 4:35 AM PDT

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

Whenever I go to a hotel, I always tear out the specific pages of the Bible I find to promote completely immoral behaviour. Especially the Ten Commandments, they're always the first to go.

Great Gatsby (we hurd you liek buildings so we made a book about buildings!), and both the Twilight Series and Fifty Shades are an affront to good literature.

Quoted for Truth, I tried reading the lord of the rings but I just can't pull myself through the first book. I find it boring, not necessarily bad, but boring. I enjoyed reading the hobbit though.
