Can't wait.

Star Trek 2009 was an offense to the senses, not looking forward to any future bastardizations.

in what way was it a "bastardization" of star trek? j.j. Abrams did a great job fiting star trek perfectly into an action movie.

Every Star Trek Film has been better than the Star Trek Series that have been made after Next Generation. I assume this film will be no different.

what were you expecting them to make? Its not like they could have made it like TNG or TOS episode because no one would see it. If you think they could then you have to learn how the movie business works.

Anyway. The movie came out the best it could have under the circumstances. It kept enough elements for it to still feel like star trek.

Marley: next time try to be a little for inconspicuous.
John: What do you mean?
Marley: John, we grow lots of gear, right?
John: Yeah loads...
Marley: So try not to come back with a wasted girl and a packet of fertilizer!

I agree, it was either going to be an action movie or it was never going to get off the ground.

I thought the film was very accessible to new viewers and had enough throwbacks to the original series for the hardcore fans, although having said this obviously not everyone can be/was pleased. I thought the actual dialogue was almost always good, a nice level of tension was maintained throughout the film which was occasionally relieved by some humour and prevented the film from the being that little bit too dark at times.

The largest critiques are messing up the timeline and excessive lens flare (in space).

Be sure to tell everyone how cool you are. If you don't tell them, they won't know.

I've got a fan!

I'll lap up anything J.J. Abrams churns out like a jonesing crack whore. He's like Joss Whedon with a decent budget.

Did Star Trek '09 screw up some stuff, and have arrogance by making an entirely new timeline? Yeah, but it was a very clever way to bring new experiences to a stuffy old series, and you can't deny that the actors were excellent in their roles.

Why does everyone hate Halo 2? Maybe its because its the worst game ever next to mario.

Star Trek 2009 was awesome and I hope this one will be just as good.

I was hesitant at first because I wasn't sure if they'd pull of the roles, but after seeing it I will say they did great. So I'm definitely looking forward to this new one!
