Subject: Does anyone still go to an arcade?

Studies show that men think about sex every 7 seconds. I do my best to eat hotdogs in under 6, just so things don't get weird.

Please allow me to introduce Myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
I've been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man's soul and faith

I miss the arcade.

Who still has one nearby and goes to it?

“If we will disbelieve everything, because we cannot certainly know all things, we shall do much what as wisely as he who would not use his legs, but sit still and perish, because he had no wings to fly.” - John Locke

"How can anyone be enlightened? Truth after all is so poorly lit." - Rush

There's an arcade in the lobby of a nearby theatre, don't play it often though.

While I do miss it on some level, I sure don't miss going through all that change just for like half an hour's worth of gaming.

I honestly couldn't tell you where an arcade is within 20 miles of me.

"I will show you how a true Prussian officer fights!"

"And i will show you where the iron crosses grow..."

The MEPS at Fort Hamilton that i went to had an arcade. They had the Jurassic park game there that i haven't played in ages.

Blind luck always prevails.

The closest I have come to an arcade is playing pub quiz machines. Does that count?

Don't litter, or God will rip your face off and feed it to a goat.

I was actually at a Chuck E Cheese recently. Don't ask why.....

Arcades suck. You don't miss the arcade, you miss your childhood.

If we disagree, it's nothing personal, opinions are opinions.
Antagonizing me to build a false sense of worth is so damn cute.

Brighten your day with science.

Sometimes. On Ferries.

I know that there's an arcade in a nearby movie theater, but it's been years since I've ever even played in one. There aren't any of the good 'ol games there though.

  • 12.03.2012 11:27 AM PDT

Haven't been to one in a while. I heard there's an awesome arcade in Miami with all sorts of games (even rare games like some of the Cave shmups) so I might check that out one day.

I've only been to a "legit arcade" a few times....I miss it.

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

Last time I went to one, about 8 months ago, I was so turned off by the prices of games I doubt i'll ever go back. Closest thing I hit to an arcade these days is Dave'n Busters.

If I ever see anyone post in a thread "That's your opinion", I immediately lose all respect for them.

Also, if you're discussing a topic with me and you resort to name calling, pull "life checks", or just call anything you don't agree with retarded without giving legitimate reasons, don't expect me to take you serious in anyway what so ever.

Last arcade I went to was around 7 years ago. I used to play Tekken 3 for hours in there. Wasted so much money.

  • 12.03.2012 11:40 AM PDT

I do, but it's just to play Pinball.

I respect the old machines, but my first truly enjoyable gaming experience was when we got a SNES and Yoshi's Island. So there's not much nostalgia in them for me.

  • 12.03.2012 11:43 AM PDT

I haven't been to an arcade in like16 years.

  • 12.03.2012 11:53 AM PDT

The only way I would go to an arcade is if they had some ultra-realistic combat simulator room thing.

  • 12.03.2012 11:56 AM PDT

Fair play

The last arcade that I ever knew about closed in 2006.

This. Fun times were had. Especially way before online multiplayer was invented. Those were the days....

Maybe someday with friends, I might try going to an arcade again to remember the good old days.

Does Dave n' Busters count? I used to go to arcades as a kid back in the 90s. They were fun but I don't think they would fit well with modern society.
