Battle of Stalingrad, easily.

This is your personal opinion on what was the most pivotal moment in World War 2.

In my opinion it was the Battle of Stalingrad, with the entirety of the German 6th army destroyed the balance of power shifted forever and the Germans were kept on the back foot for the rest of the war.

over-emphasizing legitimacy of opinions is getting on my nerves these days. No, it's not a valid opinion, BECAUSE THERE IS NO OPINION TO BE HELD! You can't have an opinion on this matter, you'll just be misinformed since there is a right answer.

Opinions are formed on the basis of scarce information. If you don't know all the details, you're going to interpret causes and effects in a biased form.

This thread is a fail.

"I will show you how a true Prussian officer fights!"

"And i will show you where the iron crosses grow..."

- "Cross of Iron"

No, this allows discussion. Obviously there are historical facts out there that really do point at the most obvious, but this is for people to just casually discuss it. I will correct them if i see a really ridiculous one just to teach them.

There is almost no exactly right answer in history. Your post is a fail.

Agreed. It is perfectly valid to debate the "most pivotal moment" of any point in history.

It would be invalid to argue that something completely different took place without sufficient evidence, but that's not what we're doing here. We're talking about established events and debating which of them was the "most pivotal" in World War 2. A lot of that has to do with your own cultural perspective and how you choose to define "pivotal," but ultimately it comes down to personal opinion. There has always been debate about things like this.

Not everything is math and science. Not everything has one right answer.

My God.
