lolnope.

One of my closest friends has Autism. He's very loud and obnoxious sometimes. But he's cool for the most part. He's helped me out a lot.

"You get what you put into it."

When Legendary is too mainstream, you have Heroic. When you're the leader of the church of MLGeezus, have Epic in your username, and can't write 'About Me's' to save your life, what do you get?

This guy. And now, an side note: Most things I post contain lethal doses of sarcasm, so be warned, and try not to take me seriously.

Finally, a message to Bungie trolls everywhere.

I've known a few autistic people, but never actually talked to one. I also know the kinds of autism vary, causing different effects, but I can't say for sure.

I play halo 3 for enjoyment. I've noticed this game and community has changed alot since it's release.

I know someone in my class who has aspergers.

When I heard about it I certainly was surprised since he acts normal.

Autism has so many different levels of severity, that trying to figure out if someone is autistic or not isn't exactly easy.

  • 12.03.2012 2:38 PM PDT

The experience honestly varies. There's quite a difference between high-functioning and low-functioning.

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

Several, all with different degrees. I know one guy who is autistic, but he has it fairly under control. You notice a few ticks now and then, but if you aren't paying attention you'd never know.

Yet I've seen plenty of people not like that. Some have trouble talking, others are anti-social. It all differs.

I've seen, but've interacted.

On December 1st, 2012, I met Neil deGrasse Tyson. I shook the man's hand, and even made him laugh. Not much else to do with my life now.

Like, mild, or severe?

Either way, both.

You just met one now.

Several. Sometimes I couldn't even tell that they had it.

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

Autism has a spectrum, OP. Your interactions with an autistic person may be very similar or very different to someone else's. It's hard to cover all the bases here; try doing some research here and elsewhere on the web.

Mythical Group

There is no greater catharsis than arguing on the Flood.

If they make you wonder, they may have aspergers, but never autism.

I don't need no stinking signature!

Autism has a wide range of effects and ranges of severity, from people who are a little socially awkward to people who find conversations physically painful.

I've known a few people with aspergers, but they're pretty much normal. The person with the worst case i've seen was a kid who always shouted and would punch people just because it was his way of 'greeting' others.

I am an autistic person. I was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, to be precise. As many have said, autism is a spectrum of disorders, rather than a single diagnoses. You can have people which are unable to speak and require extensive care at one end of the spectrum, while you can have others which are capable of living a normal life within society despite having various social deficits.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

Yeah, I've talked with a few. Nice people, but annoying.

  • 12.03.2012 2:51 PM PDT

Autism has a MASSIVE spectrum, OP. I recommend looking into it before jumping to assumptions like most here would. Literally, the highest functioning autistic levels are simply like personality traits.

Well...just the once...since it's me and all'.
ADHD and Aspergers, but even then I have them very mildly, other people never notice.

  • 12.03.2012 2:52 PM PDT

There are many different types of autism that vary greatly. There's this one kid in my grade who I didn't even know had aspergers until someone told me. There's another kid I know with aspergers who you can obviously tell had something wrong with them.

Both of those conditions are diagnosed far too liberally anyway.

I met one that acted like a normal human being and another that made me want to kick the -blam!- out of the little -blam!-
