Edit: Ah well :(

According to Deej Bungie are not going. :( Noooooooooooo!

Why do I always find out so close to the day, why not 2 months in advance when we haven't got our hopes up. :P

In advance, can we get an answer now whether Bungie will be at GDC 2013 or not? Cause we're just get all hyped up again.

ALL HAIL GABEN

You do know that some stuff they don't have to list, right? Even MORE SO if it's a game reveal...cause they want it to be a secret. So ya.

Have faith.

Keep in mind, Bungie hasn't indicated whether or not they plan to be at the VGAs yet. We just speculate that Destiny might debut there, but we could be entirely wrong.

But yes, I feel that they would want to keep such a reveal a secret until it happens, so just because it hasn't been advertised, doesn't mean it won't be there.

$.50 in store credit.

Last of Us, GoW, and South Park will all be out relatively soon. Destiny hasn't even been formally announced yet. That's probably the main reason.

Ugh...

First on a BWU.. yeah, I'm cool.

ODST;MYTHIC Screenshot winner! One of the first to get their hands on the mythic map pack.

The Last of Us was REVEALED at the VGAs last year. It wasn't known about until the reveal if memory serves me correctly. Which gives Destiny a pretty good chance of being revealed at the VGAs. If a game like The Last of Us (which was to be launched in the fall/holiday season of 2012) Destiny has a good chance of being revealed.

Given Destiny's supposed lauch time being in the fall/holiday season of 2013, a reveal in the VGAs would line up exactly with what The Last of Us' schedule was like.

Bungie hasn't confirmed nor denied their presence at the VGA's this week.

Those are just the confirmed games we know about. I recently did a write up from another thread regarding the VGA's. You should listen to the podcast from Major Nelson about the reveals. It's hints heavily in our favor of seeing something. Here are the bullet points:

Geoff on Major Nelson podcast
Major Nelson podcast with guests talking about the upcoming VGA Awards this next week.

>Can add Bioshock and Tomb Raider to the list. Gears will show off the main enemy that hasn't been seen before. South Park gameplay will be shown.

>Talks about the Xbox live stream, which will be smartglass enabled. Sam Jackson will be able to talk directly to Xbox Live community, Xbox live voting will impact the show.(even more teabagging this year?)

>Talks about some of the game footage from the big games coming out next spring, then says there will be games shown that are coming "far beyond summer of 2013" - Bungie's next IP?

>Gonna be a video package where Sam Jackson is inserted into a bunch of different games. All the former hosts will be back to celebrate 10 year anniversary.(Jack Black, Zach Levi, Snoop, Neil Patrick Harris)

>Will be available on demand for 48 hours on Xbox Live after show ends. Pre show will start 1 hour before.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I really hope so, we have been in darkness for almost 2 years.

I really hope so, we have been in darkness for well over 2 years.
It hasn't even been a year and a half yet...

My bet is on the VGA's. If they were having advertisements prepared which "represents an outside look at Destiny's plot, key values and more." I'm sure the reveal couldn't be too far away.

It has felt like 2, lol.

Bungie has been hinting about Destiny since ODST

I am really hoping for a trailer at the VGAs. It was the same place they unveiled Reach I believe.

No but we know for sure Destiny has been around since 2009, at the earliest we know.

We got a teaser trailer for Reach at E3, then a world premiere trailer at the VGAs.

I still hope we get to see Destiny at the VGAs though.

Exactly. They wouldn't want to reveal it before the show. All of the games on the reveal list have already been announced, also.

And Bungie is still technically "dark." We'll just have to find out, and if they don't, we'll have to wait until 2013.

Destiny will be unveiled in its full capacity under Bungie's guidelines and timing.

The world premieres for the show have been 'revealed' supposedly. Among them is The Last of Us, the new Gears of War, and the South Park game.

My question: Where's Destiny!? : (

Is there a chance they could sneak in undetected?
From my past experience, "World Premiere" by VGA standards typically means it is either A) gameplay footage for a game that hasn't had gameplay footage released yet (as would be the case for GOW: Judgment and South Park) or B) gameplay footage of a new section for a game that has already had some footage shown. (As the case may be for The Last of Us.)

Actual new reveals at the VGA's are kept quiet, at least from what I remember. I've only watched the last 2 years.

Patience young padawan. Bungie will reveal Destiny at some point in time.

Who is to say there won't be any gameplay/cinematics?
