Hey Flood,

What, in your opinion, is the best, most beautiful piece of Classical Music?

For me, it's defenitly: Erik Satie - Genopédie No.1
The beginning is just so relaxing.

Hey it's that song from the Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya! I knew that name was familiar.

Artes, Scientia, Veritas

Sapere Aude

"But I do not think we're invincible"

My three favorites are Chopin's Raindrop Prelude, Pachelbel's Canon in D, and Mozart's Clarinet Quintet in A Major, Movement 2.

Bit of a lame, generic choice, but probably Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. I'm sure there's probably something I'll enjoy more but I haven't looked that hard. I memorised the first movement (it's not very hard to play obviously) but I've not started the second, and I'll put off learning the third until I grow an extra hand.

Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

I will definitely save this thread, as I love classical music. My favorite varies quite often, but right now, I just discovered this. If Piano doesn't count, then I would have to say "What Shall We Die For?"

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

Raindrops by Chopin.
There are still many more good songs though.

This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends;
Not with a bang but a whimper.

I like Beethoven's Symphony No. 6.
