Rustled Jimmies

source

Arizona police are desperately searching for an 11-year-old leukemia patient who was taken form a Phoenix hospital by her mother a day before she was scheduled to be discharged.

According to AZ Central, authorities are concerned about the child's welfare as they fear that a catheter in her heart could soon become infected and endanger her life.

For some reason the mother took the child out of her room, IV and all, took her down to the front door, took the IV out of her, and left.

Okay then, lets discuss possible reasons for the mother to do this.

Why is what she did illegal? She's the mother, shouldn't she be able to take her out of the hospital at will? Or giver her no treatment if that's what she believed?

Please stop complaining about the 'death of a loved one' it's my job. They probably deserved it anyways. Here's a warning, if you keep making pentagrams out of the neighbors livestock I will personally come to your house and kill everyone you love. Now leave me alone, I got to get back to work.

I don't know much about the rules of these things, but I think it's more that they're concerned the child wasn't properly discharged with consent and nothing further wrong. That could mean any number of things. Like they said, she could have an infection brewing.

her treatment wasn't completed yet, so it's illegal for the mother to take her without the doctors permission, there could be more problems and if there is then the child needs more care.

She has a condition with her heart that the doctors haven't cleared yet, so if the daughter is to live then the mother cant take her away

I'm not sure how I feel then.

On the one hand, removing her may severely harm or (or it may not) and illegal.

On the other hand, it is her daughter and she should be able to remove her if she so chooses, even if it may put her daughter's life at risk.

I don't know...

wow, I seriously thought people were smarter than this, is the mother retarded?

seriously, taking your daughter away from the people trying to save her life just because she can't wait 1 damned day for the docs to say she's okay to leave?

The mother will only jeopardise her child's life.
