Talking about Sweden is an ultrabannable offense.

Too bad being completely and utterly wrong isn't a bannable offense.

Why do vehicle gunners in BF3 feel the compulsion to shoot at aircraft?

Do they think they're actually doing something other than giving away your position?

Sometimes I am tempted to quit gaming. I can no longer play without seeing ponyphags, horrendously bad teammates and mexicans.

Gaming community, I want you to know that you suck.

It worked in BFBC2 when the bullets were actually reliable.

I shot down a chopper while in the LAV gunner position.

I bet they think they can shoot down the aircraft, but who can tell what's going on in their heads?

Did you do that all by yourself or did you just get the last shot in?

I make a living of selling my body, and I don't mean sex.

I've killed helicopters that were a fair distance away with the turret. I still shoot if they're far away anyways if there's nothing to shoot.

Shooting at jets that aren't coming right at you is really dumb. But you can do significant damage to helicopters if you're a decent shot. But I agree, if the chopper hasn't noticed you, its best to just leave it alone.

The one thing I hate most about that game.

The constant shooting.

This, above all, annoys the hell out of me. Those level 22 -blam!-s don't know that shooting gives your place on the map away, and most engineers, support, Choppers, and OTHER TANKS will feel obligated to kill you.

Because it works in the movies

I will say, there are some tank drivers I wouldn't want too be on the wrong end of.

"Thoughts are the shadows of feelings; always darker, emptier, and simpler."

If I'm the gunner in a jeep or tank, I know that my only priority is ground infantry.

However, if a helicopter decides to engage us, then I'll gladly return fire.

I can do that with canister. <_<

I'd prefer to shoot at aircraft with a main gun than the secondary MG though, but people seem to think that if they're getting hit markers they're doing major damage. You're getting hit markers for 1% damage.

I love doing that. I don't quite have nailing jets down yet, it's more of a 2 out of maybe 7 jets I shoot at.

Helicopters are easy.

I have never seen a gunner for a tank successfully defeat/fend off a helicopter. Whenever the gunner for a tank starts shooting at me, and taking my health down by one percent, I usually go ape-blam!- on their asses.

Or... Attack Helo pilots attacking jets instead of confronting enemy Havocs.

My friend does it all the time when we're in a tank together. And if not him than me. He's managed blasting jets out of the air with the main gun on a tank several times. Hilarity ensues.

The Renaissance Man; The Bigger Fool.

I only do it against Helicopters, and that's usually when they're otherwise preoccupied. If you can get consistent hits you'll drag down their health enough to encourage them to flee, giving your team time.
