>OP is tired of corporation bull -blam!-
>Uses Nintendo as an example of what to do
Do you even game OP?
All 3 at the yalta conference are bad these days, and Nintendo is probably the worst. They not only refuse to truly innovate anymore, but continue to rehash the same pieces of -blam!- year after year such so that they even have to rehash the consoles themselves. How many DS iterations are there now? And they all do the same -blam!- ing thing and still have irrelevant games.
I don't understand why people expect sequels from Nintendo anymore. They used to be the industry leader but now they cling to old ideals and old principles (like that friend code bull -blam!-) and remakes of the same 6 IP's we've seen for the last 20 years. I already have a -blam!- ing DS, why not make some good games for that instead of turn my Wii controller into a DS?
The worst part is there are still lines and lines of sheep at midnight waiting to buy the same -blam!- they already played for years. But hey, at least they ship full games and don't bank on the possibility of TU's to fix or add content that should have either been finalized or prioritized on the disc launch. Disc locked content and whatever other marketing ploys they're using now are just insult to injury. It's already $300 for the console, $60 for the game and controller, and possibly more for the online service. The least you could do is give me the full game.
A new era of gaming is coming. Consoles and hard disc games are going to die and digital gaming of the App/Steam persuasion will rise, especially considering this whole development of certain companies moving to prevent offline play. A significant part of console gaming is the commerce of used games, but that will be a thing of the past sooner than you think.
It's unwise to deny the exponential growth of casual gaming. These companies charge too much for too little and 6 months later charge even more for the same mediocre product. These tech giants need to get their -blam!- together because they're digging their own graves.
