2nd best QBR in the fourth quarter last year. Sure, he doesn't fit into the conventional paradigm of being a quarterback in the NFL. By those standards (which are entirely passing-based), he's not a good quarterback. But look at the running plays he made. Look at the plays he made against the Dolphins and the Jets last year. His defense wasn't that good. His offense wasn't that good. Did everyone forget that they beat Pittsburgh in a playoff game?

All true. I remember this discussion being held last season, I believe on sports center, and it really will all come down to how you judge a QB.

Oh, you're drunk if you think Tebow is better than Foles.

Are you kidding me? Foles has shown no promise at all before this past Sunday nights game against the SOFT Cowgirls D.

Hes a 3rd rounder who wont amount to anything. Hes the next rex grossman.

I'd take Ryan Mallet or Matt Flynn over him in a heartbeat. Tebow as well.

Pittsburgh is in the middle of a serious decline right now. I would no longer consider them an elite team.

LOL such a Tebow hater.

I agree that Rivers is better than Tebow. But Rivers has also been a starter for 5 years.

I hope you're not waiting for Tebow to get five starter years under his belt.

Put Tebow in the same situation as Rivers, Tebow would have more wins.
No he wouldn't. Because Rivers completes his passes. Tebow doesn't.

No, but I do wish the best for Tebow. He should have went to the Jags. Hes better than Gabert.

Rivers cant win. Hes an underachiever in a terrible division. hes not a good QB.

What? Theyre starter is out and theyre winning games with an 80 year old Charlie Batch.

Not to mention all the injuries on D and to the RBs. Its crazy that they still have a winning record.

Foles completing passes with no offensive line, no Desean Jackson, Jason Avant, no McCoy (I don't care what Brown has done the last 2 weeks). He has no offensive weapons and has still completed 60% of his passes. Tebow averaged under 50% completion with Denver, not even NFL-worthy and is a backup to probably the worst starting Quarterback in the league.

3rd rounder who won't amount to anything?? Hahaha, child, go to bed. He's played a quarter of a season and you're ready to write him off when the offense isn't even designed around him with a joke of a coach and offensive coordinator in Marty Mornhinweg...the guy who coached Detroit and TOOK THE WIND. And yet, Tebow is in his 3rd year and he's not even close to starting for any team and you think that's better.

Tim Tebow, career average 48% completion. That's it, nothing else needs to be said.

They lost to the Raiders, Titans and Browns, and the Chiefs took them into OT. Batch has played terribly; they barely squeaked by against Baltimore, and you can chalk that up to a weak Ravens offense more than anything.

But Rivers is only a decent QB, top 10 at best. If that qualifies as good for you then alright. Consider as well how long Rivers has been playing, and the coaching he's recieved compared to Tebow. It's a poor comparison.

In Rivers' first full year starting he completed 62% and had 9 picks. Compared to Tebow's lol47% completion and 6 picks in the 12 1/2 games he played in 2011.

Say goodbye to whatever point you thought you had.

You dont care that bryce brown has rushed for historic numbers the last 2 weeks?

Desean Jackson is Soft.

Riley Cooper > Avant.

I love McCoy. But Brown has done tremendous in his place.

Again, I dont care about stats. I care about wins.

You think Ravens fans care that Trent Dilfer sucks? No, They got a superbowl.

Now, for Mr Tebow, I don't hate him, but I eagerly await his public downfall. I can't wait to see him up at that podium explaining why he was caught with 4 14 year old male Thai prostitutes.

Again, you're completely ignoring that you are treating both players as the same kind of quarterback. Tebow is not your traditional pass-only quarterback. So if you use those kinds of statistics (interceptions and completion percentage), then you will come to the conclusion that Tebow is not a good quarterback. But what if you look at the leadership factor? What if you look at rushing yards and touchdowns? What if you look at how differently defenses had to prepare and play against Tebow than they did for any other quarterback?

I don't know if you know this... but Pittsburgh has hardly ever had a blow out win, yet.. they were still in the top total defense and in passing yards last week.

Anyway, no reason to hate the man but to critique his stats? Fair game.

Is it? All the elite QBs in the league also produce wins.

Being a good QB and winning games go hand in hand.

The Ravens certainly cared, considering they CUT HIM AFTER WINNING THE SUPERBOWL.

That's a horrific argument. Wins don't dictate skill, or contribution to the team. It happened, and Tebow deserves little to no credit, when statistically speaking, he fails to do his job more than half the time.

By your logic, you would say that Macho Harris was a good safety because the Eagles were a playoff team with him? Of course you wouldn't, you're not that dumb. It's the same argument with Tebow; the Broncos defense was very good last season to even give Tebow the chance to win the game. Tebow was not, or the team wouldn't have gone after Manning. Why would the Broncos be interested in overpaying for Peyton, when they already had a "winning" QB in Tebow?

They were a 5 seed last year. Theyll be a 5 or 6 this year
Key players getting old & injured more often, no longer dominating their division, failing to win against completely terrible teams, etc. They're seeded 6th right now, but the Bengals are right on their ass, and now they won't have Ike Taylor to shut down A.J. Green in week 16.
