Campaign was too Hollywood and emotionally gushy and lacked the original Halo experience charm,
What does this even mean?

Game lacked features (ie. Campaign Theater)
I believe that was due to time constraints, and I believe they are currently working to implement theater for Campaign and Spartan Ops.
We know there are reasons for certain features being cut, thank you. Does it make it OK? Not really. Halo 4 was a step down in many aspects. Halo 4 had a longer production time than any other Halo game and it had the shortest campaign, fewer features, and a copy/paste mode that is Spartan Ops.
How does not having enough time make it not ok to leave some things on the cutting room floor?
If they don't have the time, they can't implement it.
People would have complained if Halo 4's release date got pushed back to make time for it.
Half-Life series has some of the longest release dates between games and doesn't even have multiplayer/theater/Forge/etc... yet it seems to be rare that people cry about that. Rather they choose to cry about just wanting the next game out.
Should 343i have taken that road? Keep pushing H4 back to the point where people are simply complaining just to have the game and not what is or is not included in it?
And to others Halo 4 was a step up.
