Subject: What's the best "Poor Food?"

Studies show that men think about sex every 7 seconds. I do my best to eat hotdogs in under 6, just so things don't get weird.

Mac N Cheese. Beef flavored Ramen was OK too. Spaghetti-Os always get me all nostalgic of childhood, but always end up disappointing.
I wrote Spagetti-O's up there, but that's more or less the type of "Canned Italian Food-like Product" it represents.

To me the best was the MASSIVE can of pre-made ravioli suspended in a red tomato-like sauce.

The chicken flavor alone for Ramen has approx. 910 grams of salt.

Ramen is so bad for you it's not even funny.
I'm pretty sure the flavor packet doesn't weigh ~1kg (~2lb).

Stop being an imbecile. You know I meant mg.
No you didn't. You wrote out the word "grams."

Mashed potatoes and hot dogs, with whatever you want to add, cheap and filling, and if done right delicious.

I always throw a can of campbell's chunky soup on top of my potatoes.

Yep

That's why, IMO, it is the true "poor food"
Mass produced, cheap, almost zero quality in the ingredients

I rule the midnight air, the destroyer, die by my hand, I am Creeping Death.

rice, potatoes, carrots, hamburger, water, seasonings = awesome

fried rice, eggs, garlic salt, ketchup = life

Best poor-yet-nutritious meal I have lately is frozen fish on rice with a cheap steamed vegetable. Little more expensive and a little more work than mac&cheese or ramen, but waaaaaaaaay healthier

Hate to tell you, if its a little more expensive, then its not "Poor People's Food."

It's literally like a few dollars more, but I see your point.

I've definitely been on the kraft dinner mac&cheese kick before, though

If you mean Doritos, get out. If you mean the 47 pound bag of the weird yellow ones that started out stale and got worse from there, you may stay.

I'm talking about Doritos and Lay's and I am very comfortable here thank you.

Looking at the poll results, I see that not many of you have really been all that poor. The best "Poor Food" is clearly fried bologna. But your would have to have eaten to know that. Only the truly poor have had this delicacy.

True, but I wouldn't really call it poor food seeing as I have had it and am far from poor.

NAME BRAND FOOD???

No truly poor person would have those. They would have the hamburgers that come in the big 24 pack frozen brick, they would have those cut into 4ths.

That's nice. This thread isn't about healthy food though.
