After seeing some videos, for example the Extra Creditz one and Zero Punctuation, I have become particularly interested in Spec Ops: The Line. I am intrigued by its take on the modern shooter genre and the emotional impact of the campaign.
However, I'm not sure whether I should spend my money on it. My friends were no help; without playing it or seeing footage and upon hearing the name they immediately dismissed it as a CoD clone and checked the totally accurate reviews on the Guardian and Play.com's player review, of which there is only one. So they were no help, and instead told me to buy Black Ops 2 because apparently I will keep going back to playing it, despite previous CoDs getting boring after a week of playing.
So, I want the opinion of the Flood. Should I get Spec Ops: The Line? Is it worth my cash? Does it have replay value?
