Also? There's a differnece between "clarfication," and "evangelical idiocy." Ditka crossed that line.
1, a. wtf are you talking about? Are you saying that Vista looks like Tiger, and as such the entire OS is merely a copy of Tiger? Sound's like you're just being a fanboi and not actually comparing the technologies backing the two OS's.
1, b. Don't be stupid. There are viruses, trojans and worms for the Mac just as there are for the PC. Just because you don't know about them doesn't mean "they're unknown."
1, c. Having a monopoly over hardware production doesn't guarantee a superior product to the consumer, just a more expensive one. And by the way? Apple didn't actually make many of the products in your machine. Your video card is most likely NVIDIA. Your hard drive, Hitachi, or perhaps Seagate. Your built in bluetooth device may have been designed by Motorola. Hell, if you have a new Mac, your processor is an Intel. The best part about this is that many of the components that make your computer are PC compatible, because Apple lost a lot of money trying to make their hardware completely proprietary. In other words, your Mac is just as much a hodge podge as any PC.
This is not the reason there are fewer recorded virus-related incidents on Macs. That blame can be placed squarely on userbase. In other words, the Mac user base is so much smaller than the PC user base that when there are Mac outbreaks, they're ridiculously smaller than a PC outbreak. So why, then, would someone writing a virus actually care to target the Mac users? That's like ordering a $70 sausage patty when you can get a $5 steak that's twice as good and ten times as large.
1, d. You know, it doesn't make your arguments look any better when you basically say "Yeah, the Mac doesn't have any games, but GUESS WHAT, I'll just play games on a PC!" You didn't think that one through. Yes, you can dual boot the Intel Macs, but being able to switch to a PC doesn't suddenly mean that your MacOS is bereft of software or third party support.
1, e. Might want to get a bucket for all that fanboi drool. "Face it, except for the fact that 3rd Party Support Is Inadequate for Mac, everything else is superior to Windows" is like saying "Face it, except for the temperatures constantly being below 60 degrees, Antartica is the best beachfront property in the world."
1, f. I like how you take stabs at Vista in some of your points, and then conveniently forget to mention features included with Vista in points like these.
And guess what, dingus? You can, in fact, get a virus on your Mac by downloading software as well. That doesn't change the fact that there's far, far less software available, making PCs better suited for a larger gamut of tasks. Hope you like making home videos- you won't be doing much else unless you're willing to shell out some dough.
1, g. I have both a Mac and a PC at home. I've used both professionally. Given your age, I'm going to guess I've used them both a whole helluva lot more than you have, and for far more pratical or technical reasons. You're attacking PC users as having "pathetic" and "stereotypical" reasons for preferring their platform, but the best you can come up with is "MacOS looks good and Macs come with some free software."
You've pretty much admitted that Apple's third party support is third rate, but you don't seem to realize what the impact that has on a platform. You've made it fairly clear you don't know what you're talking about. Please save the fanboi spew for other fanbois. Those of us that have an understanding of the differences between the platforms get headaches reading drivel like this.

Actually, the entire core of the Windows system was derived from the original Mac OS, way back in the 1980s. Apple loaned their technology to Microsoft for some help, and they pretty much stole the entire system, changing only a few things. You know why? They realised that clicking twice on an icon with a name is much easier to do than typing cd../programs/bla bla bla/whatever...
"1, b. Don't be stupid. There are viruses, trojans and worms for the Mac just as there are for the PC. Just because you don't know about them doesn't mean "they're unknown.""
I've never encountered any. Or even heard of any. Neither has my dad, or anyone I know who's on a Mac.

Oh the hell they they didn't! Trust me, I've opened Macs up, looked at the components inside them. Let's see, Hard drive, oh, Apple logo, Memory, oh here's the bag, Apple logo, Airport wireless card, oh Apple logo! Hi!
Yes, Apple doesn't make video cards, ot the processors, because that's not what they do. They make the computers, and hire another company to do those. Making an upset claim that Apple doesn't make technology they, well, don't make, is like saying "I went to Carls Jr, and they wouldn't give me a Whopper!"

It's not only the small userbase. OS X is so robust, it can fend off a good 99% of viruses. The newer versions of OS X are so simple, and they're strong! They never crash, they never get fatal errors, like the old, OS 9, the software doesn't get corrupted, deleted, anything like that. OS X has a Linux base under it, so it's pretty much DOS on steroids, but here's the thing, you don't need to close down your whole system to reach it, which you shouldn't have to, but in case you do, just go to the Terminal!

The Mac doesn't have as big of a game base as Windows, yes, but it's good enough. Hell, Halo was made for it, wasn't it? And there is third party support. I can go through and tell you the third party programs I've got on mine!

Funny how your completely forgetting the fact that third party support for a computer is pale in comparison to saying Antarctica is the best beachfront in the world...
"Hope you like making home videos- you won't be doing much else unless you're willing to shell out some dough."
But damn it, it's worth it. The whole iLife package. Some of the funnest stuff you can do, and it's easy to use. NEVER make home movies with the Windows home movie maker thing. Use iMovie. I have made dozens of movies with it. I made a big 20 minute long movie with effects, titles, transitions between scenes, I put in sounds, all sorts of stuff. Think about it. Right out of the box, your Mac can play music, make movies, make DVDs, make webpages, make songs, and organize and edit your photos. And that's just the iLife package! And even though it's expensive, it works! The price is high because they're built to be good.

So tell me, which Macs have you used? Give me the exact model number.
In conclusion. Listen, I know what I'm talking about. I learned all I know about the Mac and PC from my father, who has been working with Macs since they came out in 1984. He's used just about every model known to man, and even many PCs. He used them both, and the Mac is better to him. It's a better machine. I, too have years of first hand experience on both machines, and the Mac is the zenith.
