Quick as a razor, sharp as a bullet.

survived the nuke? Cortana says when he sets it off, they won't have long to escape. So is it timed rather than an immediate detonation? Because that would explain everything.

Presumably, the white blast was a cinematic effect. In fact, yes, I've just watched it again on Youtube, and it's a fade-in, not an instant blast. So John set up the timer and then maybe whited out or something and Cortana protected him with her box. Of hardlight.

He was on the brink of collapse so it's certainly possible he passed out.

Yeah, she protected him with Hardlight. Apparently it's the strongest stuff ever.

If you're passionate about the thing you're talking about, I'll always lend an ear.

To be honest, why does it even matter?

There's so much things to nitpick if you want to get into the finer details. Much like many fictional stories, realism takes a back seat.

We're gonna fight, me and you. We know who's really right about this conversation. If you don't then let's think this through, with out fists. If that doesn't suit you, we can use pistols. How does this prove who's right?

Well, we both know I'll win, that's a damn fact.

Yup, it's not made out of Raditz, that's for sure.

It's a big thing that everyone keeps asking about. That's why.

Hardlight combined with a AI with EXTREME knowledge the just got composed? She couldn't turn human because she was never that to begin with.

RIP Ginger

Spring 1997 - 6 January 2012

Was one of my thoughts. Maybe 5 seconds or something after activating the nuke.

"Chief, back away".

Cortana does her stuff.

I Love Lamp. And Ender's Game. Don't tell Lamp.

I imagine that Chief would have opted not to turn on the nuke's timer. Every second he wasted, thousands died.

  • 12.04.2012 4:15 PM PDT

"So- So this means Im just going to be miserable for the rest of time?!"

"No. This means that you have to live life to the fullest. You have one life, live it well. Make sure you die without regrets. Get a new life, new mate, new family. You, out of all people, don't deserve a terrible fate of misery like that. Having nothing to look forward to is good. It makes sure you want to keep on going. Living is a right, not a privilege."

Well, he set it at the end, so it was on a timer, but then he -blam!- punched it. That should set it off.

*commence very slow crawl to Nuke, and take a 5 second glance at Earth before detonating.*

John primes the bomb, it starts its count down, it takes too long for his liking, and he punches it, followed by an explosion sound effect.

But it still isn't a problem because you can actually see that Cortana telported him out of the ship. You can see he's in space if you look through the light barrier.

This also accompanied by the leisurely amble John takes towards the Composer after sending Cortana's semi-rampant splinters into the system, only to discover that GASP the Didact isn't there.

Let's see if you are in much of a condition to sprint after being slowly crushed to death by a Force wielding Forerunner. He looked at the Earth to determine if he could afford to put it on a timer.

Well, it was my fault for looking anyways.

Besides, I still don't know the whole ending, just that Chief survives a nuke

Don't tell me the rest, though

The key word being "crawl," as in "so hurt he can't even stand."
