Could it be that in the end of Halo the alternate ending is with Sergent Johnson and Arbiter.
Just a thought even when I play Halo 2, the way they switch back from characters I just know they somehow both helped eachother survive (dont know how exactly). Even at the beginning of Halo 2, one of the marines asked how Sgt. Johnson made it out alive he simply replied "Classified Information." I just dont think he wants anyone to know nor does the Arbiter since they are enemies in the war, but sometimes desperate times call for desperate mesaures. What are your opinions on this?

I'm not sure if it had to do with the arbiter..

I believe one of the stories in the upcoming Halo graphic novel reveals this.

sgt johnson got a rare disease from a crate of plasma nades that allowed him to survive plus the arbiter was wearing gold armor in halo 1

Well even if that in case is true, since I never read any of the books he was still with an Elite and Halo blew up which really has nothing to do with him standing close to crate of plasma grandedes, standing close to them wont make him survive the destruction of the Halo...lol

Thanks for choosing to whine over being a productive member of the community and possible element towards advancing Reach.

Um, you may be reading too much into it. I think Bungie had that ending as a joke. Though something like that might have happened, i don't know.

Johnson survived the flood because he has a some kind of disease so they cant infect him.

He survived the ring on a pelican along with the pilot an ODST and another guy.

The Graphic novel tells how Johnson escaped... we'll just have to wait to know til' we read it.

I guess they should have told us how in Halo 2 instead now you gotta go buy the books to understand put more money in their pockets, but how come some Marines dont know how he escaped he still replied "Thats Classified Information" Oh well, well thanks for clearing it up anyways.

I work at Microsoft. I have nothing to do with Halo and nothing I say is "the official word".

Didn't half-jaw escape halo also?
at least that was my interpretation...

hmm, I guess that really doesn't make sense, but then where did half-jaw meet the flood before?

Johnson cant get infected because he was affected by nuclear radiation and the flood cant read his DNA or something along that line. BTW anything involving Halo would be classified in UNSC and I dont think Commander Kyes even had the clearance
