Rock bottom is no place to set up camp. Especially in the dark.
I hate it when people say this. T4R
The problems are still there. The fact that other problems exist does not in any way cancel your problems out. Now, what I'm talking about is circumstantial. I don't want to hear any whining about how you did not get the newest phone.
But just today, I had been crying over my father. There's a lot behind this, and I can't be bothered to explain. But my mom said, "At least you're not fending off lions somewhere in a jungle. You have a roof over your head, food, and love. That's all that should matter."
While this is true, I can't stand how some people think it's comforting in the slightest that other people are less fortunate than you. Your problems are still problems. Just because I live in a first world country does not mean my freedom to complain about family affairs is revoked.
What do you think?
