I'm not just the flood's roleplayer, I'm a fiction writer as well.
I've discovered creepypastas, specifically the Creepypasta wiki, a long while back as a means of telling short, dark stories as practice for longer stories.
Here's a story I thought of. but first..
I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed:
And on the pedestal these words appear:
"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.
you recognize that poem? well it's about the Ozymandias character
(SPOILER ALERT)
In this pasta, Ozymandias is a powerful and loved ruler of an ancient middle eastern empire before the time of the Persians. all was going well in his Empire until a mysterious parasite shows up and turns the people, pets and livstock of the empire into monstrous, rabid creatures bent on nothing but killing or infecting the uninfected.
Ozymandias's Military fought hard and valiantly, at first things were going well, but then the parasite overwhelms the king's forces until Ozymandias himself must fight, the end is a surprise.
So that's the basics, I want to include the flood to not only help me think but as a guide to see what people find interesting horror stories.
