Trussingdoor is pretty kewl. He fires lasers and doesn't afraid of anything.

I suppose the name describes this pretty well. Basically, I'm setting up a character who looks and levels like a mage, but fights like a warrior. A combination of the bound battleaxe in one hand with an alteration spell in the other. I activate my "armor" as combat starts, then switch to the bound weapon to get the fighting done. My primary investments will be into, obviously Two-Handed, Alteration, and conjuration. I'll also put a bit into Enchanting to make robes that bring the spell cost down. This build is probably going to be rough for the first few levels, when magicka is low, but by mid-game I think it will be extremely useful. Until I get the right perks, it's going to be very magicka intensive.

But what race should I choose? For roleplaying and personal reasons I'd prefer to do a Dark Elf (I have five bajillion Altmer builds so I want a change of pace), but an Altmer is really suited for this (magicka bonus, point bonus in conjuration and alteration).
I'm torn.

Breton? Or do you really want to be an Elf, for these role-playing purposes?

I could stand a breton, but I'd prefer elf. My one, only problem with bretons, which I also have with altmer, is that I simply cannot make one that isn't hilariously ugly in some way.

Argonians Master Race.
OT: pick Dark Elf. They're cool looking and (IMO) fit the role of an ethereal warrior better.

I've got a fan!

1. Level all skills up to 100
2. Do any build you want

OP, you're asking for a spellsword build. Be an Altmer and level up Conjuration, Alteration, and the two-handed and you'll be all set, just like you said.

I don't need no stinking signature!

You're going to want to get damage boost enchantments for each weapon skill, since bound weapons really are not very powerful once you get to a higher level.
