Subject: I miss my Noble Map Pack...

I miss Invasion on Breakpoint... I miss my Anchor 9 madness in 5v5, 75 kills to win...

Those were the days. And now I can't play the damn maps anymore... -blam!-

halo 4 has improved on halo 1-3 in every concevable way and, even though reach was good, i am looking forward to halo 5 6 7 8 and 9

Man, Halo's developers have mode some really stupid decisions in regards to the whole map system, map management, and simply maps in general.

I can't believe Bungie didn't see the exploit of the low gravity zone in Zealot. I can't believe I can't play in neither the Noble nor Defiant map packs because of bad management.

And now 343 is following these steps and making Halo maps more like big open Battlefield-esque maps. HUGE enviroments with tons of empty space is what Halo has come up to now.

What happened to small maps? What happened to maps like The Pit or Guardian? Anchor 9?

Yes, I am nostalgic of when the Noble Map Pack came out.

Like me. Reach was -blam!-, and will remain -blam!- until the end of time, no matter how many Halo games are released and how good/bad they are.

Reach was amazing.

Unless you were terrible at the other Halos and/or it was your first Halo yeah no it was -blam!-.

OT: OP are you being nostalgic about Reach?

That winter of 2010 has to be one of the greatest gaming experiences I had. When the first map pack came out, everyone was playing Reach for the sake of it.

No one was hating hard yet, and the maps were beatiful to look at, and even more to play in.

I can't even begin to compare the level of perfection that Invasion on Breakpoint was. So much damn fun.

Damn it must have been your first Halo. Also I was saying the game was crap well before that point.

Why are you saying you can't play these maps? The game is still up

What house has a rocket pod, has legs, and has a long narrow barrel that probably shoots something powerful?

Sounds like you're describing the lower half of my body, actually.

I got mad when I went back on that game and the DLC playlist was gone.

I thought, "Well I guess I can play invasion and maybe it will be there."

Nope. I was wrong.

Breakpoint and Tempest were the best.

I've tried. Invasion is flooded with Forge maps. Almost nobody has the maps now, and even if I were lucky enough to find a full lobby with the maps, I'd have to sit for 2 hours playing in other maps.

I just went onto Waypoint - I can now see that the DLC specific lists and the Anniversary lists are gone. Ww Halo 3 still has the playlists to earn achievements - this is odd.

I never bought any Reach map packs, I knew I wouldn't get my money's worth as I did with Halo 3. I'll probably get the Crimson map pack though, since I'm enjoying H4 much more than Reach. It just needs some tweaks (and a classic playlist with sprint disabled.)

Nope. I was wrong.

I had so many hopes that with Halo Anniversary 343 would at least make some playlists DLC required, so that way I could at LEAST play on a constant basis in DLC maps.

But I was wrong. I bought the 3 map packs. And now matchmaking barely supports them.

Who was the developer to take them out, though? 343 or Bungie? I thought it was 343 because I remember playing it even after the TU came out.

I don't see any crimson in the Crimson map pack. I got hyped when I looked at a picture with orange-red floors and full of color, but now that I've looked at the trailer they all look like forge maps that were tweaked a little in order to be sold.

Yeah. The Crimson map pack looks like it was built with Forge objects and then re-touched a little so it wouldn't be blatantly obvious to notice.

It features HUGE maps with tons of empty space, vehicle warfare that involved DMRing across the map, and overall dull and boring situations.

What the hell is happening to Halo? The maps are seriously killing off these franchise I used to love so damn bad.

343. I last played Premium Slayer on November of 2011. After that, it all went downhill.

Premium slayer was the most fun I had in Reach matchmaking.

If Reach got an update to spread zero bloom and required DLC to most playlists, it'd be all I play.

But I think 343 suspects this is the case for a lot of people, which is why they'll leave it alone.
