Reach nostalgia?

There are those who said this day would never come.

The Internet is an empowerment tool that's agnostic; it doesn't care about race, gender, or age.

Didn't like Breakpoint at all after they removed the banshee.
Anchor 9 was fun for me in 2v2 and 4v4's.

I never bought any Reach map packs, I knew I wouldn't get my money's worth as I did with Halo 3. I'll probably get the Crimson map pack though, since I'm enjoying H4 much more than Reach. It just needs some tweaks (and a classic playlist with sprint disabled.)

It features HUGE maps with tons of empty space, vehicle warfare that involved DMRing across the map.

Sounds like every Halo game I've ever played BTB on, specifically Blood Gulch. Just replace DMR with BR/pistol and you're set.

I still don't get where you people think this game plays any different from past games. You may remember these epic moments from the other games, but thy stand out in your mind because they were unique, and your brain filters out everything else; that's the defnition of nostalgia. Most Halo matchmaking games are what you just described. Not necessarily boring, but standard shooter flair, which, when compared to your filtered memories of past games, would seem boring.

Same thing with Halo 4. It still plays just as Halo games have always played on a core level, but now there are some new twists you constantly have to adapt too with each game. That makes it more exciting imo, rather than just playing the same game over and over again.

Quick as a razor, sharp as a bullet.

The Noble Map Pack wasn't the best. Breakpoint was only good for Invasion, and Tempest was highly overrated. Anchor 9 was great, though.

As for smaller maps in Halo 4, it's unfortunate that sprint means that maps have to be larger now, or else they feel ridiculously small. Imagine sprinting around Guardian or The Pit. It would feel tiny. Hell, you'd barely be sprinting for a second or two before you got to where you needed to be.

Breakpoint and Tempest were the best.

I wouldn't know if they were good. I think I managed to play a grand total of 5 games between 3 maps in the severely dead playlist.

That's not saying much. Halo 2 made Reach look like diamonds and gold.

Wait, if you can't play these Reach map packs, can you still play on the maps that came with CE Anniversary?

Not really. I get what your saying, but I remember the mundane of Halo 3 and Reach being much more fun than the garbage that is launch Halo 4. I had fun cause I was with friends, when I'm with friends in this game, there's nothing to really laugh about. Your always killed by a DMR or a power weapon, vehicles are never used, and nobody screws around. The biggest laugh we've had in this game is when a driver of a Warthog couldn't drive.

Plus when you played by yourself it was much more exciting. There was an incentive to win, in Reach and 4 there is none. I could AFK if I wanted, in fact I did yesterday when I had my girlfriend over. And don't get me started on Custom Games.

That's obvious, but so many bungie members think Halo2 was the best just cuz 'stolgia and if you say reach is good to them they go ape-blam!-.

There are those who said this day would never come.

We shall cut into the heart of this infestation, retrieve the Icon, and burn any Flood that stand in our way!

Halo 3 is where the morons of the universe congregates.

I am thinking of an old story. "Three Billy Goats Gruff" (hint the troll dies at the end)

If you had an electron microscope, you still couldn't find the -blam!- I don't give.

Those were easily some of the prettiest maps ever in halo

There was a DLC required playlist. Barely anyone played it. It died. But some good games of CTF on Highlands were had before the funeral.
