Rain, and Jazz.
Halo: Tactical

I'm either a fool or an inteligent man, depending on how sleepy or angry I am.

I originaly made an account on 07.27.2007 but I wanted to link my GT and made this account. Don't forget your passwords!

Depends, I've seen it go up and down many times. Every day it changes a little and no year is the same as another.

No, it has always been like this. The population has decreased though.

I am a penguin. Every day I boogie on down to the water, and eat fish. Once, while fishing in the deepest depths, I saw great Cthulhu... And he said to me "Shine, to thine own self be true. They can't tell you what to do once you've gone guru." Also, I should tell you, "slide".

The overall quality of people on the internet has decreased. These days it's just about who can say the stupidest crap, use the most hyperbole, or be the most like what 4chan tells them to be like.

Oh, and I guess facebook drama too. Can't forget the facebook drama.

Trolls aren't even trying anymore, that's what worries me most.

"lol CE sux, doesn't even have Live" is the standard now. I'd like to know if it's one person behind all these accounts.

I agree with this, but as for the overall average quality, I would say it has stayed the same.

Writer's Corner
6/15/2011 11:39 PM: bobcast [2597260] issued a 3 day ban expiring on 6/18/2011 11:39 PM.
Reason: A Bungie.net Forum Moderator has banned you for violating the code of conduct and/or rules of the forum in the thread below
http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=61704535
Inappropriate. Went a little to far with the butt hole tearing.

It's a combination of two things.

We've lost a few active community members that contributed to the forum on a regular basis, most of which have either gone offsite or keep themselves to private groups. While some have just moved on completely.

The other factor is that two or three years ago, Play Nice was still in effect(or still had an effect), which meant that bans on The Flood had a two week minimum and were beyond contention. Spam threads were greatly reduced at that time because of this Marshall law. It was clear that certain threads were completely off limits.

Gradually, as enforcement has waned and the rules have loosened, blogs and spam have come back, though certainly not to the same degree as before(especially spam)

Unfortunately, Halo 4 has somewhat taken over Flood discussion as a result of it not being a Bungie game, which has thread to a pointless stream of Halo 4 threads flooding the forum.

I was absent for a few months here and there though, so that might not be absolutely everything, but I think it explains the current zeitgeist, as compared to what you saw 2-3 years ago.

A competitive players main goal is to win.
A casuals main goal is to have fun regardless of whether that results in a win or loss.
It has nothing to do with individual skill or knowledge, it has to do with the reason you play.

I think the quality has always been low. I like it.

Since Halo 4? Yes. It'll wear off after a while though, like Reach.

Remember Elk

Things were better before.
We hated on the furries, and it was good.
Most threads that are being reposted now were fresh back then, and it was good.
It was fairly easy pissing off the H3/Reach forums without any direct repercussions, and it was good.

As long as I'm here, the Flood will always be good.
