Subject: Skyrim Dragonborn, Worth It?

I'm 23, I have a house, dog, girlfriend, job and I have no interest in any fanboyism so if you're thinking about sending me a childish PM, don't be surprised when I don't call back.

Has anyone tried out the new DLC yet? I bought Dawnguard and enjoyed it but after I had finished everything in a really short time I couldn't help thinking that 1600MSP was a bit much for such little content.

Is Dragonborn in the same boat? Or is it worthy of my pennies?

Thanks for any help.

I'm going to take an unqualified guess, and say no. Bethesda has been lacking in actual GOOD DLC for a long time, Shivering Isles was their latest good one. Skyrim DLC just seems really overpriced and lacking in content, not to say I haven't bought the previous ones, but left... Unsatisfied.

From the hour I played yesterday it's the best DLC for Skyrim.

It's nice being back in Solstheim and, from the quests I picked up in Raven Rock alone, there seems like there'll be plenty to do.

About 30 hours of gameplay+ new areas.

Definitely better than Dawnguard's Soul Cairn, too -_-

This. I'm constantly nerdgasming over all the Morrowind & Bloodmoon related stuff. I'm pretty sure I found whatever's left of the old airship.

Trussingdoor is pretty kewl. He fires lasers and doesn't afraid of anything.

Yes. Hell yes. It's full of content

I bought it but I still need to try out Farcry 3 and finish up the walking dead among other things like the Black Ops 2 campaign and the new Assassins creed 3 DLC pack.

It's much better than Dawnguard, and I'm only about 6 hours in.

There is a bunch of stuff available so far. It offers a nice short story with great scenery and an awesome remake of a few of Morrowind's songs

It is SSSOOO much better than Dawnguard. I am pretty deep into it.

Way better than Dawnguard in my opinion. Don't expect too much out of Dragon Riding though. It's heavily scripted.

Life?
I have the internet and Doctor Who; i don't need a life.

from the hour or so i played earlier it seems pretty cool.
nice big map, loads more to do than in Dawnguard.

I've played about 1 or 2 hours so far and it's been pretty awesome so far. Cool new enemies, weapons and armour, and I've only just explored the first town and a mine so far.

  • 12.05.2012 7:33 AM PDT

I started it, did one Main Quest, and then got very distracted by all of the side quests.

I like it.

Yes you can. Spears replace arrows.

You just hold the dart between thumb and forefinger and give it a little flick. God bless the wee little people.

Thanks for the input guys, I bought it after all the positive reviews and I really love it.

Thanks again.

This is relevant to my interests...

I honestly just want a GOTY edition to be released so I can pick up everything at once and not worry about anything else that may come out.
