If it is so hot you have to wear gloves, what is it doing to your entire GI?
Honestly, I've never understood why people's skin and other parts (GI) get so irritated by spicy food. I've never had an issue with my skin getting irritated or feeling the burn in my stomach (and elsewhere if you get my meaning) after I'm done eating spicy food. Some 1-2% of the population is immune to the effects of pepper spray. I imagine that they'd also not have those kinds of issues with spicy food, so it sounds like you may be among that group.
Though I can't say I've ever had much of a skin irritation issue from handling peppers and spicy food, but I can definitely feel it in my stomach after eating it.
You'll have to excuse me if I don't rush out and buy some pepper spray to test that theory lol.
