Hardcore mode and ADS make Vegas superior IMO.

You get less frequent perks, the quests are not as interesting, and you have to play the game 4 times to get every achievement. Sure is superior.

Less perks means more replayability because it makes the end characters more varied. Quests are just a matter of opinion, I like Vegas's more. Not everyone cares about achievos and they really shouldn't be considered when you are talking about the quality of a game.

Valid points, but I would much rather be a powerful badass by the end of the game than a regular badass. Getting perks every level allows that badassery. I do like New Vegas's weapons though. One thing that 3 definitly lacked.

I find Fallout New Vegas has more variety in terms of content, quests, DLC and just about everything else. The best bits of FO3's modding community is in New Vegas.

Fallout 3 has less variation but is harder and is more serious. It's got a strong emphasis on survival, whereas New vegas is more just being a kiss arse for various factions.

Personally, I'm enjoying New Vegas more at the moment, but you should really get both.

I think you have the two games mixed up. New Vegas was WAAAY harder than 3. Try reaching max level in both games, then go into a Deathclaw infested area. See how long you last in Vegas (not long).
I personally thought FO3 was way harder. It's true, New Vegas deathclaws are brutal but to be honest I find everything else so much easier to kill, especially humans.

Also, the fact NV's level cap was 50 also made it a tad easier.

In the way of part of the new Germany was Poland so Hitler and Stalin took it over so Germany could grow.

What.

Fallout 3.

New Vegas is a better game, but Fallout 3 just...feels better. It has a better atmosphere.

There are mods that let you get perks every level for New Vegas.

I did like getting a perk every level in FO3, so I'm glad that mod exists :P

I quit the Flood. At least /v/ puts Fallout 3 in the -blam!- tier and Fallout NV in the okay to good tiers.

Fallout 3 is babby Flood's first Fallout game how cute.

OP, get New Vegas, these kids have no idea what Fallout is, I grew up on it.

I'd say Fallout 3 because I played that one first, but honestly it doesn't matter if you've played neither before.

Whichever you played first is going to be your favorite, fact.
Not really. I played FO3 first and I'd choose NV over it any day of the week.
