Luke Skywalker is supposed to be the most powerful Jedi in the SW canon.

lol

By all means, go ahead and disprove me.

It's stated that he was the chosen one in the movies. He handed Caeden Solo's ass to him. By all means he should be the most powerful. But he pails in comparison to SK's force abilities.

Darth Nihilus, for one. There are several others than consumed worlds for their energy.

The emperor from TOR is the most OP Sith in canon. Darth bane was pretty ridiculous as well.

>mfw people don't read my posts.

I'll reiterate it for you:

Luke Skywalker is supposed to be the most powerful Jedi in the SW canon.

Refused to see how that's relevant considering Star Killer was trained as a Sith.

You don't think these stories were prefabricated like many other story books and legends of greek legends? Do you believe that Achelles (sp?) was immortal to wounds everywhere except his heel? I think it was a lore story to make the siths fear their leader more than anything.

Sith are a branch of Jedi. You meant light-side Force users...and to that I say who cares? Even their best is nothing compared to the more powerful Sith. Starkiller was a grey Jedi, so he doesn't fall into your category anyway.

He brought down a flippin Star Destroyer. With the force.

If that's not OP I don't know what is.

Read the books. He's less overpowered in them. Also there was a difference in training between Starkiller and Luke Skywalker. Don't forget that the original Starkiller was killed in a fight with the emperor.

Refused to see how that's relevant considering Star Killer was trained as a Sith.

And yet he switches sides halfway through the first game.

Lifetime of training > Sudden change in morals.

Not to mention the fact that he still uses Sith Powers despite switching sides.

There are Sith Lords that can destroy planets with their minds.

Just saying.

kinda this. If anything, i'd say make him more powerful, and don't have the villain limitation of the emperor and vader every time. Theres so many more powerful sith to fight... Although i haven't kept tabs on which ones are actually still alive, although i guess that doesn't really matter now does it?

Yes, I'm the guy who had the Flood admit to being furries.

Starkiller is indeed a Gary Stu, as Ashoka Tano is a maru su, they were both pretty much inserts into an already established timeline, as characters to associate with the main characters (Anakin/Vader), take screentime and appeal to a 7th graders idea of a cool character and totally blow logic and continuity out the window.

he uses sith powers as a jedi because he was what is considered a "grey jedi"

Sith are a branch of Jedi.

Again, incorrect. Sith are a result of the interbreeding between the natives of the planet Korriban, and the exiled Dark Jedi.

Even their best is nothing compared to the more powerful Sith.
...Which isn't even what this thread is about.

Ok, but I'm simply telling you the Sith are not a branch of Jedi. They never have been. You're referring to the Dark Jedi.

you never heard of him because he is mentioned in the books only not in movies or games.

Nice assumption.

It's not always about pure power. Wisdom and knowledge > power most of the time. This Kyp guy seems pretty arrogant and impatient. Did he re establish the Republic and set up the New Jedi Order? I think not.

Movies > EU anyway. It's quite clearly stated Luke is what Anakin should have become. The most powerful Jedi of all time.

Okay. Its pretty safe to say you're just trying to find some footing, and it really isn't working.

Come on, man. Give it up.

What? I do not care for what some half assed EU book retconned from the movies. Luke is and always was supposed to be the chosen one. It's quite clearly stated in ROTS and is implied in ROTJ.

This is where I disagree with you. At the end Anakin did destroy the sith lord, he did save the world from evil, and he did continue the jedi order...at the very end of his life.

point taken. kyp was very imopatient at first and a little arrogant but he was under the influence of a dead 4000 year old sith lord after the lord was finally defeated he completely changed. actually now that i think about it kyle katarn was probably more powerful than kyp and luke. and keep in mind that luke was very impatient and arrogant in the movies at times.

and EU books after ROTJ is cannon...
