Subject: Space Marines or Halo? No Precursors.
Poll: Space Marines or Halo? No Precursors.  [closed]
Halo Universe:  60%
(44 Votes)
Imperium of Man:  40%
(29 Votes)
Total Votes: 73

The Imperium of Man invades the Halo universe and for whatever reason, the Forerunner and Covenant empires and the UNSC all exist and are at their prime.

The UNSC has all of it's Spartan IIs, IIIs, and IVs plus its full fleet, this also goes for the Covies and the Forerunners.

Considering the fact that firing the Halo arrays would result in both sides being wiped out, they will not be a factor in this fight. The Halos exist and can be used as strategic locations, but they cannot be fired.

The Precursors are also not a factor in this fight, we don't know enough about them and including them will only result in fanboys making up stuff about their capabilities.

It is only the Imperium of Man, not the entire Warhammer universe invading.

Feel free to go about explaining why whatever side you choose would win.

The world is not beautiful: And that, in a way, lends it a sort of beauty.

~Kino's Journey

The Imperium alone is incredibly over powered, bye bye haloverse.

You look around. You fire your weapon before you realize.
Its just me. I fall and you walk up. You cry why.
When i pop up. You look at me in wonder. I say,"ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL."
You bend to my will and go to a cliff, walk off, and fall.
The last thing you hear is me stating as fact,"All will fail the battle of life, you just went early"

As a massive W40K fanboy I'll still admit that the Imperium would beat the UNSC and Covenant but not the Forerunners.

Also are we referring to the just the Marines or all the other IoM forces? They have uncounted billions more soldiers.

Okay seriously, that has to be the first time in my life that I have ever seen someone say anything from Warhammer would lose.

We should know better, because we are better.

Dark Age Humans would beat the Haloverse easilly. Modern IoM would have a tough fight, and might lose, but the only thing that would give them pause is the Forerunners.

The Imperiums FTL wouldn't even work in the haloverse.

As much as I would love to vote Space Marines, just the Didact alone and his Composer really rips apart many of the Space Marines approaches. The idea of being able to uber scan people into dust and then turn them into twelve foot tall silver giants with swords and weapons based off of light is just a killer. Even worse, the more it is used the more Prometheans there are. EVEN WORSE, Prometheans never really die. They just disintegrate into bits and pieces of carbonized metal and vanish. They can revive themselves at will. Against other things like regular marines and such, I'd say everything above imperial guard and orks can hold their own. But for awesome purposes, I would love to see an Ultra Marines go up against a big old hunter with a chainsword. Can anyone agree with me that it would be goddamn awesome?

Really, the War-hammer universe is all good when it's self contained but comparing it to other universes is just pants-on-head retarded. They purposely made everything OP only because it would work in it's universe. People don't make sci-fi universes to fight each other.

Considering there are supposed to be only 1000 Space Marines active at any time, I'm inclined to say they would send an invading force fit for an entire galaxy, not just the Space Marines.

But the entire empire itself wouldn't come along.

Come back later, after he's out of Parris Island.

there's no real reason why they're strong
lol. Compared to all the other factions in WH40k they have to be strong. Regular humans are torn to shreds. There are trillions of IG because their casualty rate is unbelievable.

Now that the "LAWL PREECURZORZ HALO WINS" card has been taken out of the equation, the victor should be even more obvious now.

1 million Marines, idk though about how much they would send, their empire's bigger than the Imperium.

Actually it's 1000 per chapter, and there are hundreds of chapters.
