Dammit. Now we're gonna go and risk American lives over a bunch of -blam!- that doesn't even involve us.
Kinda does. The geopolitical significance of such a conflict and locale does, in fact, involve us.

I'm tired of our military being treated as the humanitarian world police.Someone has to do it.

Now THAT is what I was trying to say.
People keep saying this till something like this happens, then the very same people shift their complaint to "why didn't we help them?"

So honestly, damned if we do, damned if we don't, so basically not a single -blam!- is given.

I actually support Asad.

Wat.

The rebels have no idea what they're doing. If they win, nothing will be organized and they'll end up corrupt.

That's exactly why we want to intervene....

Just remember that your friends today might be your enemies tomorrow.

As a training service member, I can tell you that I am not tired of it, and neither is anyone else in my unit.

For all questions with answers unknown to you, the proper procedure is to assume the answer is peanut butter.

While that may be true, I'm just going to pretend otherwise.

Can we please use all the -blam!- we spend billions of dollars on, and just blow the living -blam!- out of those little piss-ants already? They can't do jack -blam!- if they don't exist.

Exactly. Rationality isn't abundant within authoritarian regimes to begin with, and it's nearly nonexistent in regimes that are decaying from internal conflict.

Assad and his Alawi pig thugs raape women, cut their bodies up and leave them in front of the house for their families to see. And you support this

Generalizations.
Helping idiots hate other idiots since people have existed.

America? Why did you intervene in that international incident? You're not the world police!

Seen that on the news here in Australia a few days ago, Obama said he will get involved if it's used. Looks like where most likley to get drag into pointless war because of america.

As a Canadian, I have a very difficult time seeing Canada being dragged into this because of America. I would be proud to have my country involved in this conflict, and I'm even likely to be part of it. The people of this country are in serious need of assistance, why would you support turning a blind eye?

Exactly how I feel, I just hope if we do get involved, it's with the UN.

Honestly, it's probably best Israel not get involved in anyway. It's similar to the same situation in the first and second Gulf War. It may not look good to other Arab/Muslim states if the only Jewish state in the world starts attacking an Arab state.

I know, but the news of a longtime enemy preparing to deploy WMDs would be enough to put them on high alert.

They won't attack unless directly threatened, but if one of Syria's bombs "accidentally" happens to land in Israeli territory, they will throw everything they have at Assad.

But if they're only deployed within Syrian borders, they'll let NATO take the lead.

I'm sure Israeli fighter jets are already on high alert, as a major concern is that Assad could launch chemical weapons into Israel to prompt an Israeli attack, which in turn they hope would prompt a wider conflict by other Arab nations attacking Israel.

More than. This stuff is so taboo (no pun intended) that the N@zis didn't even use it in WW2. Not only that but wind may carry the stuff into neighboring countries. That would really start to spice things up.
