Beta to the max.
Should have been the slogan for Betamax.

If I ever get AIDS, I'm going to sleep with another AIDS person so my AIDS cancel each other out, or I'm going to make the AIDS I already have worse.

Equality!

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

The key to any relationship is figuring out what works for the couple, both from an individual standpoint and as a single unit. If both parties are fine with it, then there is no issue to be had. Personally i'd be more than happy to have a sugar'momma and be a stay at home dad, I don't see the problem.

Quick as a razor, sharp as a bullet.

I don't have an opinion. They can earn as much as they are able.

Nothing, because we don't live in 1953 anymore.

Still makes the man look pathetic. The least he could do is get a part time job. The male in any species is the provider.

I plan on having a part-time job before we have kids, and possible when the kids are at school.

  • 12.05.2012 4:30 PM PDT

If you guys can afford it, then hell yes, stay at home with your kids. It'll be better for them and you as a parent. I hated the fact my wife and I couldn't afford for one of us to stay home until pre-K.

How is it pathetic? It's not like he's sitting at home on his ass, picking his nose, and playing video games, while his wife works her hands to the bone.

Are women equally pathetic for being stay-at-home moms/homemakers?

I'm one (not married quite yet)...And its really not as glamorous as it looks.

I don't see anything wrong with it. I would love to be a stay at home husband.

"I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle- victorious"

Depends on the couple. If both of you are comfortable, then go ahead.

It doesn't have to be that way so get over yourself.

Men should be providing. Even if its a part time job while also taking care of the kids.

When I was unemployed earlier this year, I felt pathetic. My girls making 150k a year and I was unemployed. Thats a joke.

Well I don't see why anybody would have a problem with this, unless there are some religious types on the forum.

What does religion have to do with this?

Hell, just staying home for the first two weeks after my son was born, I can say with much confidence, he's going to have a full time job. That stuff isn't easy at all.

How is that a joke? Sounds like you're uncomfortable with how much money she makes.

Because quite a few people seem believe that religious beliefs are the genesis of everything bad.

Not at all. I have no problem with it, Its actually pretty great.

At my current job Im only pulling 30k a year. Granted im still in school and also interning elsewhere but I feel better knowing Im at least bringing something to the table.

Its embarrassing living off of your wife/girlfriend.

It's only "living off" her if you're not doing anything. You're in school and you have a job. You're not living off of anyone.

Also - you're married. You guys share everything. That's the point of being married.

Well yes, its because I at least have a job that I feel okay.

But say I was just a student without a job. I would feel embarrassed.
