It's mold. If you don't want to get sick, you'll stay at a hotel while the house is professionally cleaned. How do some people not understand this simple concept?
water + house = badWell that would explain why my coughing and runny nose won't go away. Only the two rooms have carpet. Everything else is wood.
Wood absorbs moisture, so the walls have become a breeding ground for mold and other bad things. If you have wood under the carpet, it's even worse. You should get it looked at by professionals. They may have to replace part of the wall depending on how bad it is.
How did you manage to fill up two rooms with an inch of water?Broken pipe in my bathroom sink. Horrible mess to wake up too.
OK. Definitely call a professional cleaning company. Get that mold out of the house, or everyone is going to start getting sick. If you can, you should definitely arrange for someone to look at the damage and stay at a hotel while it's being fixed.
