I can't join the army, since I have Chron's Disease they wouldn't accept me. Doesn't really bother me since I never wanted to join the military in the first place.

Well considering that the US and UK military are the biggest terrorists to ever grace this planet I would have to say no, I will not and never will.

You are horribly, horribly misinformed.

I was technically in the military last year at West Point (but let's be honest, West Point is pretty much just ROTC and not the real military). Now I transferred to Texas A&M and I'm just a normal ROTC cadet.

I'm probably not going to commission and try for police/SWAT then go for FBI in the long term.

That wasn't the question but you obviously have the answer to this one.

For all questions with answers unknown to you, the proper procedure is to assume the answer is peanut butter.

While that may be true, I'm just going to pretend otherwise.

I don't think I'm eligible due to my anxiety... If I wanted to go into any government-related job, I'd probably go US Marshalls.

Just laugh it off, it's better than it seems.

Orangutans can't join the military silly.

Pass the controller bro

Yes. Here in Finland, we have 3 options.

-The Army (The deadline to join is at age 30 and the service can last 6, 9 or 12 months depending on your physical condition)

-Civil service (You will be called a "sivari", a -blam!- or a communist and finding a job will be harder)

-Six months in prison (They aren't that bad actually, we have some 5/5 prisons)

Bonus option:

-Pretend you're a psychopath, mentally unstable or say you play call of duty and love guns and talk about guns a lot.

Studies show that men think about sex every 7 seconds. I do my best to eat hotdogs in under 6, just so things don't get weird.

Maybe when I'm older, probably would join up for the Swedish Armed Forces or something. Doubtful though.

Octavia is best pony.

No. Really it's because... I just feel I could be better applied elsewhere. No offense, and I respect all people in uniform, just that America is already falling to -blam!- and I feel I should work to change that.

What? No, its 2. Technically its for 8, but as little as 2 can be active, with the balance being on inactive reserves.

Cool. What's basic like? My recruiter says he can have me in Basic as early as next February.

I'm not in good enough shape with my back problems and such but can they help pay my student loan debt?

It depends on the basic. Also, keep in mind that mine was a long time ago. A lot has changed.

Anyways, much of it is spent getting into shape. Lots of running, and strength exercises. Even more time is learning discipline. Lots of drill and getting yelled at.

It can be hard if you don't mentally prepare yourself. Keep in mind that they aren't yelling at you personally. They cycle so many recruits through that its become a routine to them. So, they would be yelling the same thing at whoever was standing in your spot.

I think its still 8 weeks for basic, though that could have changed by now. Ask your recruiter the specifics.

It can be a lot of fun, and it can be hell on Earth. Its all up to you on that. It all depends on your mental outlook.

Nope.

I saw a video that in the last few weeks, you get to play War Games in some fake made up continent at whatever base you go to. Did you do participate in this?

Its called FTX, and yes, everyone does.

I won't give you any of my impressions, as I was in Infantry School, which is different than the rest, and also that was a long time ago. What you could experience is very different.

I don't want to be shipped off to a place where empires go to die to get my head blown off fighting America's war which my home nation was dragged into.

The war is pointless.
The last British war that was justifiable was the Falklands War. We wanted our territory back from imperialist Argies.
