Trussingdoor is pretty kewl. He fires lasers and doesn't afraid of anything.

I totally agree, I have tried to appeal my perma bans but each time they don't respond, so I just made an alt.
So you announce that you are using alts to dodge a ban.

Posting from said alt.

On the most mod-heavy forum this website has.

Genius.

One of your appeals was something like "if you don't unban me I will hack your account"...

I am a Floodian

I agree with the OP. As long as there are alternate accounts, a permaban isn't permanent for anyone who doesn't want it to be. It's actually more effective on the people who respect the system and are willing to follow rules.

Please stop complaining about the 'death of a loved one' it's my job. They probably deserved it anyways. Here's a warning, if you keep making pentagrams out of the neighbors livestock I will personally come to your house and kill everyone you love. Now leave me alone, I got to get back to work.

Ok, the ones who post illegal things, shock sites, meat spins. You should IP ban those suckas, I'm talking about the members that care and want to.interact with the forums, like trussing door for example. Wasn't 2 a lot for you?

If they care enough and want to interact... they can follow the rules.

I have seen you future

Perma bans are great for people who don't really want to be a part of the community, and instead just want to cause trouble.

Exactly. That's why there are smaller and less punishable/severe bans.

You act as if it matters whether I get banned or not, making a new account is just a minor inconvenience.

It's even less of an inconvenience to remove your account from the main forums. The problem you run into is that nobody knows (or cares) who you are because you have no identity on this website.

Per Audacia Ad Astra

Okay, OP, the perma-ban will be removed.

And replaced with 99-year bans.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Change perm's to 777 years.

Everyone's happy.

Who is it to say that BUNGiE hasnt made the "perma-ban" last 777 years? You know what they are like...

It's not meant to be permanent to the person so much as the account, IMO. A troll can create an alt in a matter of minutes, but bans take place in a fraction of a second. Long run: troll loses.

Alright, back on topic. @camm Take burrito for example, everybody loves the guy, he also loves this great community, no? So let's say he gets into a fight with someone on here, flames the guy enough to get a perma. It was a spur of the moment. What I'm to say here is that sometimes when people get angry they don't think clearly. That's why a perma would be far too harsh of a punishment. You'll probably say he can PM the mod who banned him to get rid of it, but what if it takes the mod 3 years to release it?

The scenario you presented would not happen. You either need to commit a very egregious offense or a string of small offenses over a long period of time to get a perma, in the most likely cases. This would likely not happen in an argument.

I have a problem with not responding to asshats sometimes, but... I'd never go outright cursing out and flaming someone... publicly.
