I recently moved to Montana and all of our family members are getting rifles, but one of my brothers is also getting a composite bow. I'm getting a Savage .308 and my dad bought a .306. My mom is possibly getting a .270. What guns do you have if any? Or just discuss guns in general.

I'm also getting a crossbow, but not anytime soon.

I'm a big fan of Medieval weaponry. Think I might invest in some sort of Straight Sword. I don't anyone would break into my house if they knew I had a 3 foot long iron sword.

Edit. Why the hell did I put Caste iron? I'm not going to make them eggs.

When I was at the store I was checking out the Remington 12ga shotties and I pumped it. I don't know how anyone wouldn't run at the sound of it.

"Thunder Two-One, I've popped red smoke in the treeline! Standby to engage on my mark!"

*Roger that, I have a visual on the red smoke. Standing by.*

"Thunder Two-One, cleared hot!"

*Roger that, cleared hot. Guns, guns, guns . . . *

My brother has one. It's pretty slick.

Me? I like my pistols. A Glock 19 and a Kimber Custom II Stainless.

F0ck the police

I believe people should use swords (or their fists). Guns are too fast and too easy, shoot someone and it's over. And any fool who has an eye and an arm can shoot a gun. Swords, however are much more skilled and require talent unlike the contrary. Same goes for archery.

my friends father let me shoot one of his pistols (It's been a while, can't remember what type they were), and my god I was afraid the entire time before I actually shot. Was afraid that I couldn't control it or something and would end up shooting my foot.

Overall I would prefer something more trust worthy than a gun. I just don't feel safe having one in the house.

Agreed.

I used to be in fencing. Much more talent involved than aiming down some sights and squeezing the trigger.

His draw weight is only 25 lbs. I saw some Glock 19s at Scheels and they are really nice.

I would love to train in swordsmanship, it's just i'm not exactly 18 so my parents have majority control over everything until I get a job.

they could be Drunk/high or very desperate.

also, HD is not S&D; it's bunker down in one room with any possible family and wait for the police to arrive, with your method of defense aimed at the doorway, in case they try to invade your designated "saferoom".

also, lol Remington. QC for Cerberus Capital's Freedom Arms Group is sledding down hill at warp speed to hell.

sure, they may own the big brands, and the brands/plants are still there but it's mostly new employees with little to no experience and cheaper production methods that reduce quality.

Mossberg 590A1 or Mossberg 500 field/security combo > 870 express/modern remington.

the 930 is pretty cheap for a decent semi-auto as well.

S-12s cost money to convert properly and get to run perfectly with all loads.

also, shotguns are not good as erryone says for home defense.

1. I wasn't stating that I would hunt out the intruder, but just the sound of loading a shotgun is scary enough for me to hightail it.
2. These are hunting shotguns. If unless it doesn't matter, shotguns aren't my forte.

you say that but in actual high stress situations your accuracy and general motor functions are approximately halved by the adrenaline. which is why it's important for anyone who want to carry to train often.

that's all on you not trusting the 4 rules and to not being properly taught them enough to not fear the gun.
