Subject: Halo 4; One month later.

Wake me, when you need me.

Well, exactly one month after it's release, was Halo 4 everything you expected? I'll be honest, I'm a pretty huge Halo fanboy, but I find myself playing Black Ops more than I do Halo 4. It definitely resembles a Reach 2.0 in a way but it's not that bad.

Allons-y!

I loved every Halo except Reach with a passion. Halo 4 is worse than Reach.

ME2 was known for stupidity and being retarded

Halo 4 is an expansion of Reach and I hope it goes away.

For those who wish to contact me on Xbox LIVE, my main account is "The 7th Taco", and the one linked with my profile here is only a backup.

Love the game. It needs a few fixes, and many of them are planned to be coming in updates. I give it a 10/10. But that's only my opinion, and from what's in the game, I can see why some people dislike it. I, however, don't.

Not really.

Gameplay of the multiplayer looked fun, but plays terribly. So many things need to be fixed.

It's better than Reach but unfortunately seems to have killed H3 which I was playing until 5th November. I really enjoy CTF in H4 and the campaign was excellent but that's it for the moment.

Most of the people I played H3 with gave up after Reach came out and the final few now spend their time playing Fifa 13. Fortunately I have Dragonborn to entertain myself for a bit.

Why Bungie, why would you do this?! - Halo Community

I'm disappointed with Infinity Slayer, Forge was kind of a side-grade, theater was made worse. The campaign was meh, and Spartan Ops was like watching grass grow. I also don't like how those "classic" playlists they talked about are nowhere to be found. 50% of the maps seem to be forged by a high 8 year old, and loadouts and random ordnance are just filled the brim with BS. Everything else seems alright though.

The only thing that really irks me now are lazy custom game options. Mostly in Flood. And the classic playlists.

ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY CHROME.

I think its the best Halo so far <3

The human element always mucks things up.

Campaign is poo poo
Spartan Ops is poo poo
Multiplayer is pee pee

I'm the same. I haven't touched Halo 4 in a good week or two, i've just been playing Black Ops. I know which one i prefer.

Halo 4 turned the way of Reach, where it becomes more frustrating than fun to play.

Death to rank junkies.

It's a vast improvement from Retch. My main issues with it are the power weapons appearing too often and the lack of custom games options. The maps could use some work, too.

If I ever get AIDS, I'm going to sleep with another AIDS person so my AIDS cancel each other out, or I'm going to make the AIDS I already have worse.

Honestly I hardly play it anymore, after only being a month old, little to no replayability really sorry to see the franchise has turned into another Call of Duty.

Halo no longer has that chess kind of approach on it where two teams battle for map control, working together to outplay the other team. Its now a bunch of sugar rushed ten year old's playing soccom boppers at 12:00 AM.

i already traded it in for a whopping $30

Got bored of the multiplayer within a week.
Campaign was the dreariest experience of my life.
WOW! Look at all that orange and grey.

Back to playing Fallout New Vegas. Much more enjoyable.

I hate MLP. It is cancerous and pretty stupid to see men watching a show for girls. They can deny the truth but the truth shall prevail!

I love it.

Still better than you.

.....most of you, at least.

Since I actually have other things to do upon the release of a new game for once, I'm not playing it religiously. I was finding it fun, but, idk how to explain it, I guess it just wasn't the same kind of fun as I had in H3, which is what I was hoping for.

For 343i's first FPS, it's actually a very good offering, considering what they tried to do. I hope they fix what they can with this, and then come out strong with H5.

Disabled sprint with set weapons on a map is really fun. I can't see why this isn't a playlist. Halo 4 has potential to be much better than Reach. It's just caked in gimmicks and XP UNLOCKS LOADOUTS SKINS at the expense of good gameplay.

The sublime is disappointingly elusive.

Halo 4 has to be the worst game in the series, in my opinion. It's alright, though. However, it does sometimes feel more like a chore playing it than an enjoying activity.

  • 12.06.2012 4:06 AM PDT

It doesn't feel like Halo: Reach whatsoever. I'm very surprised anybody would say that, actually. There are concepts that are similar- but the games play completely different.

Anyways, the campaign was the best campaign in the Halo series so far. The music was pretty good, though nothing to worship like ODST's. The multiplayer got rid of all the complaints that whiners had about Halo: Reach, no? Other than the initial playlists that were out, which were severely limited, multiplayer is a blast.

I have no issues here.

343i (and the rest of the fps industry it would seem):
Progression systems - because without them people wouldn't see a purpose in playing.
Me: Progression systems - in the way of fun and taking away from gamplay.

Ditto. I just like BO more for the variety. More game modes by far, more fun games like sticks and stones and gun game. And Zombies of course is superior to spartan ops. Plus getting those high scorestreaks is oh so satisfying.

Games that get old need an incentive to continue playing. IE: Call of Duty.

"We live in a special time; the only time where we can observationally verify that we live in a very special time" - Lawrence Krauss.

I was a finalist :P

I didn't enjoy the campaign, one of the worst if not the worst in the Halo saga thus far. Multiplayer has problems with good connection for many overseas players...still, which is why I haven't touched it in a few weeks. It's gotten to the point where I can only play with people on my friends list to enjoy myself.
