Looks to me like they were not cut out. But I am glad they had to work as hard as the men to get into infantry. In Infantry, you should be on par with everyone else. You never know when you will have to carry your 200 pound buddy from a trench to the nearest aid station.

The Standards for Infantry school should not be different. If Women want to fight in the dirt like men, they should go through the same training.

Though it is kinda neat that the Marines opened it up for these two girls.

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

I think the qualifications should be the same across the board, not just for infantry, and whoever meets those qualifications should be able to serve.

Pass the controller bro

Not shocking, but hey they got a chance so that's cool.

I respect them for trying. That's more than I'd ever do. Hopefully this can inspire other women to give it a go and show them that they can't expect an easy ride because they're women.

Studies show that men think about sex every 7 seconds. I do my best to eat hotdogs in under 6, just so things don't get weird.

Girls OP?

Women.

And I wish whomever tries in the future luck. That course is known throughout the military as one of the toughest. I have a feeling that eventually a woman will pass it.

Also, keep in mind, 30 other guys dropped out too. That is one hard test.

It was then that I decided he really is like semen(everywhere) and I gave up on life.

Nobody cares. The fact of the matter is no woman can do it. Stop trying to sugarcoat it.

I am sure that eventually there will be some who pass that course. So far only two have tried it. It used to be thought that women couldn't weight lift, run marathons, swim competitively etc... And now we have women taking world records in many events.

If there is one thing we excel at as a species, that's doing what others say is impossible.

I don't recall anyone saying women couldn't do certain sports.

Just going to take a wild guess here, but I'm going to say that's because you were born in a time where we've largely gotten past the whole "women can't do anything but give birth and raise children" thing.

Women world records are still behind men's world records in every sport or physical activity last I checked.

Women are very capable but men are just built for altheticism more.

You're obviously a guy. We haven't gotten past that, not even close. At least not in practice. In theory yes, most people when asked would give say the right thing. But there are far, far too many people (men and women both) who still aggressively cling to this mentality.

I'd also like to thank Charlie for pointing out the number of men who dropped out, as it does a lot to present the story more fairly. A notable percentage of each class doesn't even make it through basic training. Infantry school is yet another level of testing to weed out the people who probably couldn't make it. Signing the dotted line doesn't make you a Marine, no matter what gender you are.
