What makes you say that?

"What is better - to be born good, or to overcome your evil nature through great effort?"
-Paarthurnax

"The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world."
-G-Man

I some cases, humans do have hive mind.

But it's the human individuality and individuals doing things people said couldn't be done that we are as advanced as we are. With one mind controlling millions there is no deviation from norms and things become set in stone. We'd have developed primitive tools (maybe) and nothing further because they would suit our needs and we'd have no need to advance any further.

Remember those times when we all had something better to be doing, but didn't do it? Those were good times. Gooood times

Human differences causes competition
Competition causes progress
Hive mind eliminates most competition other than natural influences
We would have had no reason to leave the stone age
Human population would not have been eliminated by wars
We would have overpopulated the Earth
Humanity would have destroyed itself long ago

thats been proven wrong. Google -how many jelly beans- experiment

What I got from that is that each member of the group said what they thought was right and then all of them were averaged together to find a close answer. Not that one person in the group told everyone the answer. Hive mind means that one person thinks for everyone and tells them what to think and do. You don't have people thinking freely and making their own guesses and sending them back to that person for analysis as the experiment did it's just one person making all decisions.

We wouldn't be able to cope.
We'd all die in agony.

Please stop complaining about the 'death of a loved one' it's my job. They probably deserved it anyways. Here's a warning, if you keep making pentagrams out of the neighbors livestock I will personally come to your house and kill everyone you love. Now leave me alone, I got to get back to work.

We'd be doomed. Wait, who's leading.
