Please stop complaining about the 'death of a loved one' it's my job. They probably deserved it anyways. Here's a warning, if you keep making pentagrams out of the neighbors livestock I will personally come to your house and kill everyone you love. Now leave me alone, I got to get back to work.

Congratulations on willfully conforming to the toxic ideal of masculinity being shoved down the throats of young men across the world by the media. I'm sure your former tormenters are very proud.

Remember kids: the responsibility is always on the victim to not be a victim.

Thank you for being sane and level-headed.

Re: Columbine - I'm not even going to address that. It's such a basic misinterpretation of what I said that it's not even worth acknowledging. I've made my point.

Bullies are not blameless for making kids feel desperate. At the same time, they are not responsible for how those kids respond.

OMG DONT CONFORM!

Are you kidding me? Act like youve got a pair

I'll "grow a pair" once you stop abusing others to convince the world that your pair is bigger.

Abusing others? LOL

Sorry man. Bullying is natural. Survival of the fittest.

So they are to blame, but they arent responsible? How does this make sense?

I broke my bullies jaw, collar bone, left knee, and wrist.

That was quite the hospital bill I had to pay. It was worth the praise I was given.

You're an idiot and you're not even good at trolling. My meaning is obvious.

lol, you changed because you were pressured into it. What exactly was wrong with how you were before?

I'm sure there are plenty of people who are perfectly happy being who you apparently were at one point. The only person who makes them feel like it's "wrong" is the bullies. If you're happier now than so be it. I'm just pointing that out.

What was wrong was that he was getting bullied and didnt enjoy his life. So he took it into his own hands and did something about it.

I shouldn't have to do this, but screw it. Let me explain what I mean.

Bullies make kids feel hopeless, powerless, and desperate. When a person feels this way, they react badly to provocation. Their desperation causes them to act irrationally. So when a threatening bully comes along and provokes them, they usually do one of two things.

A) succumb to it completely (due to learned helplessness) or,
B) react against it decisively and preemptively (due to the fight-or-flight instinct which is triggered out of proportion to what's actually happening, again due to learned helplessness)

The bully is not responsible for their victim's specific decision to slam them with a baseball bat, but they are responsible for creating the psychological conditions that led them to resort to extreme violence. This is why people do not feel bad for bullies.

They are not blameless. They bring it upon themselves.

Sure, I can understand bulking up to fend off the bully. But suddenly starting to play sports, even though it's obvious he doesn't enjoy them because he wasn't playing them before, and ditching video games? That's being manipulated.

This is what I've been saying. Thank you for being another sane and level-headed person. My faith in humanity has increased.

Working out is good because it's healthy and it gives you physical strength, not because it's "normal" or "macho." Sports has nothing to do with it. Video games have nothing to do with it. Talking to girls has nothing to do with it.

I knew a guy in high school who was the star athlete of the town. Best track runner in 20 years, football wide receiver, etc... Single-handedly won most track meets. Was responsible for several game-changing touchdowns. Went to college on a track scholarship.

Couldn't talk to girls to save his life. He went on a grand total of two dates in the entire four years he was at high school. He was infatuated with this one girl for most of his time there but didn't even try to ask her out until halfway through senior year. By that time, literally everyone knew he was into her, and she was so turned off by his sissy attitude that she turned him down flat.

Ok, So going off of that. You feel its okay that bully victims at columbine shot up the school and killed the bullies correct?

I feel bad for bullies. I feel bad for anyone who gets injured by a weapon when they are unarmed.

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

There's a block feature on most websites. People blow cyber bullying way out of proportion.

Do you think this could apply to ciber-bullying?

How? You gotta do stuff you dont like sometimes.

Hey, I dont really enjoy playing baseball. I love football alot more and would rather be playing that. But baseball is what allows me to attend college for free.

You gotta do what you gotta do.

So I just wanted to put a positive spin on bullying and how it builds character and toughness.
Being pushed around can send people different ways. Only the less-sensitive manage to adapt whilst the remainder submit.

It is a refining process.

Sigh facepalm bertface.

No.

That is not at all what I said. Your reading comprehension skills are appalling.

I feel bad for bullies too, but for different reasons. They're usually driven by a desperate need to validate their own self-worth. It's basic psychology, I mean basic psychology. You learn this stuff as a freshman in college. People with high self-esteem become aggressive when their self-esteem is challenged by someone they view as inferior to them and they also feel the need to maintain their self-esteem by demonstrating their superiority to others by picking on "inferiors."

I used to be a pretty nerdy kid back in high school. I was into playing video games and not sports, not working out, dressing poorly and being awkward and shy around girls. Being hopeless like this of course a bully took notice of me and began to harass me. He would call me names and shove me down and push me around. It was like torture.

Anyway I got tired of his crap so I started working out, flirting with girls, getting into sports, and improving the quality of my life a ton. I began to finally live life and if not for that bully I would still probably a skinny nerd playing video games all day. I am glad that bully entered my life.

I know bullies get a lot of hate in the media when they say "oh they are killing our children" when bullies are just a normal part of life and growing up and facing adversity. So I just wanted to put a positive spin on bullying and how it builds character and toughness.

He made your life torture and you are blaming yourself. Just because some good came out of it, doesn't mean to say that you can't keep the good whilst stabbing the bully's eyes out with a pen.
