There are different types of intelligence. That's why doctors are (stereotypically) terrible at writing. Being good at physics says nothing about your ability to argue a point. Also, management is a joke. Try accounting or finance and then I'll be impressed.

Agreed.

But management is a joke?

What is your degree in? What college did you attend?

So, it was fun to harass others and probably make them feel like s**t, and you had no concern about the mental trauma or emotional damage you could've possibly inflicted\

In highschool, Yes. It was fun. But that was about 3-6 years ago

Don't you see? The passage of time makes it totally okay! He's blameless, guys!

Since the argument went completely to sht several pages ago, let's drag Godwin's Law into this while we're at it. It'll be fun.

Hitler killed 6 million Jews, but it happened like 80 years ago, so I guess he's blameless, right?

You can't simultaneously be a "great guy" while bullying people and cheating on your significant other.

Do I bully now?

Do I cheat on my wife?

Both answers are no. But I have in my past.
Oh, so you used to be a horrible person. That's nice.

Yeah man I was a HORRIBLE person for cheating on my girlfriend and bullying kids in highschool.

You might as well throw me in jail. Im worse than a murderer.
That's extreme, and I know you're being sarcastic, but yes, in my eyes you were an awful person for both of those things. Congrats, have a cyanide cookie.

Cant change the past.

Would it be better if I hid it?

LOL you think I should be killed or jailed because of things I did from the ages of 14-18 that broke no laws?

Murder isn't the only way to get thrown in jail. I don't know if I have to take you seriously or not, but your posts are at the very least, unsettling.

It would be better if you regretted it. Or apologized.

The cyanide cookie bit was a joke, and I said your statement about incarceration was extreme, meaning I didn't approve of it. Learn to comprehend the words you read, then come talk to me.

What is your degree in? What college did you attend?

Still attending, aiming for a double degree in finance and classics, a masters in accounting, and an MBA after college to give myself an edge in the job market.

I hope to be an accountant (possibly a tax accountant but I have not decided yet) and to open a small business if I have enough money for that.

Yes, I know classics is worthless. Bite me. I like it. (If anything, it demonstrates that I'm able to memorize vast quantities of meaningless dates, names, and terms, often in foreign languages, and spit them back at you.)

Lol another person who loves to insult intelligence.

Ok harvard grad.

  • 12.06.2012 2:55 PM PDT

Problem is, some people find it easier or more reasonable to put a bullet through the bully's head instead of improving their lives, OP.

Yet you're still defending the idea that bullying somehow helps the victim and should be encouraged.

If you truly regretted your actions, you would dissuade others from following them.

Sounds good. Youll get paid a ton being an accountant. Thats what my wife does.

Dont really see how management is a joke though. Most likely whoever employs you as an accountant will have a management degree.

It's not so much an insult, as it is pointing out the obvious fact that you didn't understand the words I placed in front of you.

Do they die from the bully's hands?

99% of the time. No

They usually kill themselves. Whos fault is that? Who pulled the trigger?

Management is what most accounting majors take as an MBA to get the required hours to sit the CPA exam. It is by far considered the easiest of all business degrees.

Yes its easy. But like I said earlier.

Many times its not about what you know, its about who you know.

It's the bully's fault, 100%. And I have no sympathy for someone who directly causes a suicide.

Bullying has caused more harm than good. It has been the indirect cause of many deaths and shootings. And at the end of the day, it is plain old -blam!-gery. It should not be encouraged, there are better ways to "form characters".

...bullies are just a normal part of life and growing up and facing adversity.

Very true. Many (I'd say most) kids today aren't learning how to face adversity at all. More so, they're being catered to and they learn that complaining and whining about their problems is the only way go about them. When actually, taking initiative and solving the problem yourself can be much more effective--as you did OP.
