Subject: If someone you know says "love you"...

There just aren't enough moments in the day to rectify the wrongs of the past.

but they are currently in a relationship with someone else, and you assume that it is being used in a platonic way of love, do you reply "love you too" or with something else?

If we disagree, it's nothing personal, opinions are opinions.
Antagonizing me to build a false sense of worth is so damn cute.

Brighten your day with science.

NON FACET NOBIS CALCITRARE VESTRUM PERNÇ¢UM

Ooo, that's quite a quagmire. You're sure they mean it "platonically"?

Currently studying Computer Science & Software engineering. Hope to work on mobile devices of the future! When a certain game's credits roll, look out for my name! ;)

You will -blam!- bricks when you see what game it is! =)

You do the helicopter in front of them while shouting love you too with the donald duck voice.

On the Left

Godshatter: I can go all the way with someone without being attracted to them.
CamCamm: How does that work?
Godshatter: I'm easily aroused by anything that moves. It's a curse.
Brain says 'No, that's ugly', body says 'ugly is fine with me'.

Ill be like: Same!

Roll with it, but don't push it. Give it back, but leave it at that.

So 'love you too' is all that should be said in reply.

I'd respond with "Say that when you truly mean it.".

Sorry but it annoys me that the term "I love you" is starting to lose its meaning, because the last time somebody told me that the person 'loved me' I took it as a romantic way and when I found out that said person didn't really mean it in that way. Really got me down. So no. I only use the term 'I love you' when I truly mean it in a romantic way.

Say it in a slightly sarcastic tone.

I dont want to be a potentially big -blam!- by replying with that, but i definitely understand what you mean.

in·dif·fer·ence
the fact or state of being indifferent; lack of care or concern and empathy demonstrated by an absence of emotional reactions.

I'd probably just say "cheers" or something.

  • 12.06.2012 2:33 PM PDT

Just remember that no matter how terrible you feel, or how much you want to let go, there are people who care about you and love you.

I never tell people I "love them" unless they are close family.

Well if you actually love them in a platonic way of love, say love you too.
