Subject: What does Germany teach their kids...

Rustled Jimmies

About the two World Wars?

I mean I've heard that England does a brief glance at the revolutionary war so what does Germany teach about the two World Wars?

If we disagree, it's nothing personal, opinions are opinions.
Antagonizing me to build a false sense of worth is so damn cute.

I think they do now.

They used to completely ignore it though.

I'm sure it's more or less the same as anyplace else.

What does America say about the Vietnam "armed conflict"????

This is now my main account. My former account was xKingGhidorahx. I've been on this site since 2009.

They probably don't teach them enough about both World Wars, and the Holocaust.

These things differ ,even in local areas

I'm sure they do not neglect it, especially considering how impactful it was on their society and the rest of the world in the least century.

I think they have to teach the kids about everything germany did in the war. I think they said in the show I watched "we have to make sure things like this never happens agian" or something along those lines.

On the other hand, I've heard, that some are still ashamed about the wars and the genocide, even still.

*Little Jimstaffel German brings a flag to class*

Teacher: "Put that away before anyone sees it!"

*Little Jimstaffel puts the flag in his backpack"

Little Jimstaffel: "Herr Teacher, why is it wrong for me to show my patriotic pride through carrying a flag around?"

Teacher: "Once upon a time, a little boy just like you brought a flag to school. Do you know what happened next?"

*Little Jimstaffel shakes his head*

Teacher: "We committed mass genocide and started a war that spanned continents! NOW NEVER EVER BRING A FLAG OUT IN PUBLIC EVER AGAIN!"

From what I've been told from a friend who is attending a school in Ostfriesland, they do indeed.
