Hopefully someone else that knows how to balance out Halo gets to join bravo soon. They can certainly get creative and find ways to balance out everything.

Who?

So according to the thread its some guy that used to pro on the MLG circuit... Well this is now bad news.
Wait... he is?

Well there goes any chance of fun in future Halo games. Now it's going to be back to the ever so stupid days of dumb mechanics like flag juggling.

Can't MLG just go die already? They don't deserve as much attention as they get. They're cancer to Halo.

On the contrary, casuals are the cancer to Halo. This is why Reach failed, and Halo 4 had such a poor start, the gameplay was geared more toward the casual (ie. super aim assist, armor abilities, slow movement speed etc.) Halo 2 and 3 succeeded at being versatile in that it supported a thriving competitive aspect, and casual aspect, as Bravo mentioned in the linked video. The life spans of these games were much greater than Reach's in the sense of their population and prolonged developer support.

I have faith that a former MLG player will handle the MM settings better than whoever's doing it right now. Let us see how he does before we start freaking out because we think he's going to make everything BR starts with no loadouts or something, even though that would be awesome. Bravo's goal is to support the casual community as well as the MLG community.

I stopped taking you seriously after the casual comment.

Stop arguing over imaginary -blam!-. May as well argue over Santa Claus. There will never be proof that there is/was a god - and before people start saying "HERP DERP PROVE THERE WASN'T ONE ROFLOLOL" well, you are the people who made it up in the first place so we know there isn't one
What created the big bang then? A coalition of genetically modified TR-909s with extra distortion?

A lot of you are -blam!- on some guy who hasn't even done anything yet.

Second acct: RC Zerg Rushes

Anyone who's ever heard Bravo commentate MLG tournaments or analyze gameplays on Youtube knows that this is a very good thing.

I expect we'll get some playlists with more competitive settings in the near future.

Wait, people actually think some random kid knows more about a game than the people that made it?
Considering the people the made the game made a complete mess...

Doesn't Bravo have a computer science degree? Bravo is a very smart person and player. He was the number 1 source for Halo 4 information

So by the logic of everyone supporting this, anyone who's a fan is more/ equally qualified to make games than/ as professional game developers?

*sigh* This is why I stick to Single-player mainly.

Lol.
Changing MM settings =/= making a game.

But to answer your question, yes.

Let's be honest with ourselves... it's just for PR. Anyone with thumbs who's played any other Halo game can read the community forums and make MM settings accordingly.

Did a little research on Bravo's new job

343 Industries is looking for a dynamic individual with a passion for creating and perfecting online multiplayer experiences. The qualified candidate will be responsible for working with an existing design and sustain team to help maintain and support Halo's existing multiplayer experiences, as well as the future implementation of new experiences. Additional responsibilities include hopper management and synthesizing community feedback and player data to inform gameplay recommendations. As a member of the Sustainment Team, you will get to interface with community members, designers, Franchise Management and test teams, so legendary communication and organizational skills are a must.

Responsibilities:
- Work with the Sustainment Team to maintain multiplayer experiences by recommending optimizations based on community feedback and player data
- Work across several additional teams to ensure quality
- Provide regular formal and informal matchmaking updates to the community across multiple channels
- Maintain a healthy relationship with the community and its varied subsets
- Represent Halo and 343 at community and industry events

If we disagree, it's nothing personal, opinions are opinions.
Antagonizing me to build a false sense of worth is so damn cute.

Brighten your day with science.

But Walshy > Bravo.

What do you have against him? Seriously.

  • 12.06.2012 8:36 PM PDT

Well, I have watched his videos concerning the issues with Halo 4. Him and his team (aside from the former Lemon) had decent input and actually knew what the hell was going on. They didnt just dis everything new with the game and were actually quite attracted to the base gameplay.

He knows that the game could be perfect with all the crap and bugs cut.

It's not that. It's the use of the word "legendary" in that context in an actual job description for a company.

Which is why he's perfect for the job. He takes everyones perspective into account and how it affects the game overall. I think he'll do a great job at 343.

It's just for emphasis. Besides, Bravo easily has that covered, so it's not really a big deal.

Look at his Youtube channel. Look at his videos. That will answer your questions. Bravo has provided so much information to us prior to Halo 4's release. He is not even an MLG player. He is a coach/announcer.

Bravo will certainly make minor changes such as ability to turn off instant spawns and sprint in Custom Games, but he probably will not be able to make major changes to MP yet.
