For the record: making an MLG player an employee of a gaming company makes about as much sense as making a Community Manager with no experience a creative director or whatever the -blam!- Frankie is.

Whoever is hiring these people is an idiot.

I totally agree, no wonder Halo 4 is bad.

Really? How do you know he has "legendary" communication and organizational skills? Because you saw him play MLG?

Look at his Youtube channel. Look at his videos. That will answer your questions. Bravo has provided so much information to us prior to Halo 4's release. He is not even an MLG player. He is a coach/announcer.
Coaching an MLG Team != communicating and organizing in the workplace.

You have no idea what kind of person he is because of YouTube videos and watching him coach MLG.

Because he is very concise and yet descriptive all at the same time in his vids, such as his loadouts one. Also, I doubt it would stop him if he wasn't a chatty person, but that's beside the point, which is that Bravo can help the multi become better. That's the end goal here, isn't it?

Frankie has, though. And he had no prior experience with the job, and it showed. Neither does Bravo.

Bravo has been in contact with 343 Industries for more than a year. I may not know, but apparently 343 knows, considering they hired him.

Really? What experience does he have in the field of game development or management?

That is not what the position requires. Read Chemical Envy's post

How could he possibly understand the casual perspective?

It's competitive multiplayer; there is no casual perspective.

Even if he were given complete control of playlist settings (which he isn't), he wouldn't turn the game into "1 gun, 11 arena maps, BR starts". If you watch his content you'd see that he wants the game to favor all kinds of gamers and offer the most optimized settings. As another gentlemen said, he is pro-Halo, not just pro-MLG.

You biased MLG haters are all so quick to jump to generalizations and stereotypes. He is not a playlist overlord.

War Games is 'competitive multiplayer'. There are casual gametypes within there but there is no 'casual matchmaking'. That would only happen when there is a distinct Ranked/Social separation.

Also, you are acting like Bravo's only experience is MLG. Bravo has a computer science degree.

Just sayin

Nah my wife went there. I was big into Mlg a few years back and lanned with bravo at the college. He was a great dude. I wish him the best. Hopefully he can bring competitive halo back.

Wait, people actually think some random kid knows more about a game than the people that made it?

Apparently.

We are?

We just think it's a legit hiring.

Finally we get someone who enjoys competition instead of video game nerds who don't have a competitive bone in their bodies.

MLG people are video game nerds. Also, 343 already had MLG people approve and test the balance and flow of the game during development.

This kills the matchmaking.
No, this will be the only thing that might save it.

1. People who know who he is and know that he is gonna help.
2. People who just see "MLG guy hired to change game" and complain about stuff they know nothing about.
