Goat was famous. Irie was infamous. Gh0st was FaMaS.

My stats in Halol 4

Typical Waypoint post.
no it's "its got to go" you wouldn't say the "it is got to go" would you?

Lmao this thread.

I've honestly never seen so many people cry about a relatively popular Halo player being hired as part of the matchmaking team.

He probably will not be able to do jack -blam!-. Since he is new, 343 will be watching him all the time. =)

You obviously didn't see his job description. =)

I actually do not see him lasting long.

Obvious wishful thinking by the butt-devastated casual. ^

OT: I'm happy for Andy!

I'm 23, I have a house, dog, girlfriend, job and I have no interest in any fanboyism so if you're thinking about sending me a childish PM, don't be surprised when I don't call back.

Bravo is a really active community guy and always talks about game balance, he'sa good fit IMO.

  • 12.07.2012 3:08 AM PDT

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

Good on him :-)

MLG pro and a very big Halo community guy, he posts a lot on Youtube these days.

Do not invite me to your private group. I will not join.

For the record: making an MLG player an employee of a gaming company makes about as much sense as making a Community Manager with no experience a creative director or whatever the -blam!- Frankie is.

Whoever is hiring these people is an idiot.

I totally agree, no wonder Halo 4 is bad.

So many bitter tears...

This thread is full of two kinds of people:
1. People who know who he is and know that he is gonna help.
2. People who just see "MLG guy hired to change game" and complain about stuff they know nothing about.

/fact
Should they start hiring all their employees based on whether or not they have good YouTube videos? How do you know he's going to help? You don't know him. You've probably seen his YouTube videos but you don't know him in the slightest and to even pretend that you know him enough to say he'll be a good hire, especially when he has no prior experience in the gaming industry from what I gather, is pants-on-head retarded.

He's just an employee, not the overlord of 343. Stop your pathetic crying and try to cover up your idiocy with more subtlety .

Why are you claiming I am butthurt? I can call you a casual also you know? What does that term even mean to you? I play for fun, I play to win, however I do not even care if I get a loss as much as people like you. "Competitive" Halo as your little group of cronies calls it, probably just relies on making the BR dominate and having power weapons. That is what you want correct? You know, I could not care less what kind of K/D you have. I am sure your life is really fun when you are playing halo always worrying about kills. Do you even have a life outside of Halo?

Clearly you probably do not if you are quoting me claiming that I am butthurt. The reason I do not see this guy lasting long is because 343 outnumbers him. He will probably not be able to do crap to be honest. What is he going to do? Remove Ordnance drops? Remove insta spawn? Pretty sure anyone who likes halo a lot can make videos of how to play "competitively", fiddle around with settings etc. I laugh at your assumptions.

Bravo's insight would benefit everybody
His idea of "bridging the gap" is forcing casual players to get with the program or be destroyed, from what I gathered from that video.

Some MLG nobody? Great.

Ive seen his youtube videos, he is very opinionated when it comes to matchmaking.

  • 12.07.2012 3:34 AM PDT

He threw down a glove you made the mistake
Of picking it up now you're gone
The choosing of guns or fighting with swords
The choice of weapons is done
He'll tear you apart as soon as you start
You know you don't have a chance.

This kills the matchmaking.

How? Bravo is the man.

He has plenty of experience in the gaming industry, he's been competing in eSports and going to gaming events for years and is well known within the Halo community. You seem to forget that not everyone hiref to support a franchise is a programmer and that's not what he's been hired to do.

BS Angel got hired, She just had a Halo blog. They hire someone similar from MLGand everyone has a knee jerk reaction.

  • 12.07.2012 3:34 AM PDT

Quick as a razor, sharp as a bullet.

Oh god. He's the worst kind of person.

Correct, that video was in September. Now Halo 4 was released more then a month ago, and he was right. People are choosing Long ranged weapons, forcing everyone to adapt.

If you're going to copyright your stupidity at least be sure that it wasn't already disproven.

He's not being hired as a programmer. His position doesn't require him to insert lines of code or animate 3D models. It requires community skills and Halo knowledge, which he has more than anyone here.

Sir I can't help but get the sense that you don't want to really talk about this, you want to "nail" me.

He can't do any worse than 343 has so far. Good luck to him.

Pass the controller bro

Jesus christ look at you -blam!- babbies crying. You disgust me. They wouldn't have hired this guy if they didn't want him aboard.

I don't even know the person, but just by taking a quick look I have enough common sense to realize that he can only improve Halo 4.

Wow, lots of dramatic posts here.

This is one guy being hired as part of a team. I never heard of the guy before this thread either, and I'm as casual and skill-less as they come in Halo, but I can't really see a bad side to it.

Even if he does skew pretty hard toward "competitive" that'll have an influence over, what, a playlist or two? So there might be a couple of playlists geared more toward a type of gameplay that isn't really represented in Halo 4 yet, without losing anything that's already there.

How is including the preferences of another sub-community - in addition to, not instead of - among all the others that currently have their playlist going to be a bad thing? If the guy was just going to have complete control over the whole thing, then I'd get it, but that's simply not the case.

Bravo thinks he speaks for the competitive community but really his views are more in line with your typical waypointard than anything.
