Subject: A simple thread, for a big problem!

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.” – Psalms 46:1-3

Ok so I am seeing a trend here. A very bad one at that.

As the years go by, I am noticing that the younger generations are becoming more and more terrible at communication, respecting others, and taking responsibility.

Somewhere along the way parents were taught to let there children be themselves and do there "own" thing.

This is so wrong it is ridiculous. Children have to have some sort of guidance/foundation in there lives.

Who else is there to teach children about what life is really about? How it is out there beyond school, and there bedrooms playing video games.

Well boys/girls it is not roses and butterflies.

You have to take responsibility when you screw up, and accept the consequences.

You have to work for things you want, they are not free.

Oh and here is the clincher, Just because you have an "opinion" it does not mean that yours is better or the correct opinion. This comes down to one thing, A blatant disregard for any form of respect for anyone but yourselves.

AKA Self entitlement.

Don't get me started with this new disregard for any form of authority, referring to the outrageous way kids today speak about/towards there parents.

Life is hard, it is not easy, you cannot be introverted, and anti social in the real world. You can't live off of nothing.

Now don't get me wrong, there are many out there that this does not apply to, however, for the majority that I personally see, it does.

TLDR.

Respect those older then you, step out of your box and make new friends, and go and get a Job.

Antagonizing me to build a false sense of worth is so damn cute.

Everything is interesting if you go into it deeply enough.

I can be introverted if I want to.

Ummmm, I did not say any generation is better than another.

I am simply stating things are getting far worst socially.

As has everybody else. And soon they will be complaining about the younger generation, and so on and so on.

I actually agree to an extent.

I've had discussions with certain people in their teens who do not have manners. They simply.. weren't taught.

I find this absolutely bizarre. I mean, I understand that parents are wanting there kids to be their own person and yadda yadda, but that doesn't mean you can't teach them manners.

Covan was here, December 20th.

Come back later, after he's out of Parris Island.

Socrates, I believe it's him, has a quote talking about how bad the younger generation has become.

Socrates was around in B.C. times.

End of story.

I agree with you on all of these things. While I don't believe I am ready for the real world (which I really do need to learn) I do have have complete and udder respect for my parents.

Color The Sky
Lost In Las Vegas
Missed You

Remember all
The sadness and frustration
And let it go

Oh please. People have been saying that about the younger generation for centuries. Even Socrates was dissing the teens of his time.

Pure Insanity
The point of war is not to die for one's clan, but it's to make the other bastard die for his
Right before you die, there is always a chance to save yourself, sieze that chance and live to fight another day
The best way to kill someone is to fight them with the same weapons they use and make them know you are better than them, not because of superior weaponry, but because of superior skill.
Hidden in the shadows, Clothed in camo, Armed to the teeth. Hunting.

I can't be bothered, can somebody else post that quote by Socrates?
